As an annual gym member, I'm really pleased with Waterside. The gym has everything you need for cardio, strength, and recovery. The restaurant/cafe has great coffee (worker bee) and food. We often have breakfast on sundays after a session in the gym. The food and service are top-notch.We haven't used the hotel or conference facilities, so we can't comment with clarity, but would imagine they're as good. 😀😎

I recently stayed here and I can't say enough about the exceptional experience I had. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout my visit, every detail was meticulously taken care of. The rooms were immaculate and well-appointed, and the amenities were top-notch. I highly recommend The Waterside Hotel for anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Manchester. I will definitely be returning!

Moved here from staying at the Premier Inn, safe to say wont be going back to Premier Inn. Room cleaned on daily basis, use of all the facilities which were all clean and in working order. Staff very attentive, if your looking for somewhere to stay this has to be high in your list of choices.Back again for another week, using the leisure facilities and they are great

We were staying in room 305 and I cannot express how impressed I am with your hotel, the rooms are lovely. What I'm most impressed with and taken aback by is the level of customer service from SJ in your restaurant. When I arrived for breakfast this morning, I was greeted by someone who was smiling, happy and just pleased to help. I didn't even know what I wanted due to being so tired from arriving late last night. SJ got me a flat white, organised an omelette for me, she got me an ice watered with lemon, I honestly felt like a king. She made it feel like a home from home. I didn't have to do anything and I noticed she was looking after all the customers not just me.I don't normally write emails or reviews about hotels but I felt compelled too as the level of service was outstanding and to be honest put me in a really good mood for the day!! So a big thank you!!!

My son (age 12) and I specifically booked the Hotel due to it leisure and spa facilities. On our first morning my son woke us up at 630am so that we could go for a swim before heading out for the day, on getting to reception at 7am we were informed that as he was 12 we couldn't swim until 830am, so we didn't swim. We were also informed that as he was 12, he wouldn't be permitted to swim unless I was with him in the pool. When we got back to the hotel later that evening, three dedicated swim lanes were open and a learn to swim class was taking place, leaving only 1 lane open (20%) for everyone else to have fun in, more parents and children were packed into that single lane than the rest of the pool put together. We swam for a little and I read the notice board on the wall stating that under 16s were not permitted in the sauna or steam rooms. (not clear at time of booking). So we proceeded to sit in the empty jacuzzi. We were then promptly asked to leave the Jacuzzi as apparently this is also not available to under 16s. So we left disappointed. The guest check in list for the leisure facility was very short that day, clearly far more members use it than guests.I would also say that the buffet breakfast was very disappointing, when we arrived for breakfast at 830am no eggs, tomato or sausage was available, we had to wait 15 minutes before any were brought out, the bacon was dry from being on the hot plates for so long, the tomatoes weren't cooked and the beans were mushy. The King room we were in was very small with only enough room for one plastic chair and just enough room to walk around the bed.To be honest it seems more like a members leisure facility with a hotel, than a hotel with a leisure facility. We left that evening, a day early, the experience wasn't enjoyable at all and I cannot recommend this Hotel.
