Rooms clean and spacious. Great views of the city. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Especially at the breakfast service this morning. Chloe was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about coeliac. She ensured the the breakfast was fully gluten free and prepared separately in the kitchen the service from Raymond, Abbie and Lewis was also exceptional. Location is perfect, near to everything and parking is ideal. We will definitely return to this hotel.

Wow. Some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. The team are fantastic, very helpful and make you feel super comfortable. Ian in particular is very good at his job and you can tell for sure he enjoys what he does. Darryn and Olivia were also very friendly and helped with whatever we needed. I am away for a work trip for 5 days and although I hate being away from home, this team did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. What an incredibly pleasant experience and something I will tell people about for years to come! Highly recommend.

Great location and all the staff were welcoming. Beautiful chandeliers in the function room. Attended a large event of approx 250 people. Only 3 bar staff on first night so wait for drinks was long. …

Excellent city centre location. Clean comfortable bedroom and superb buffet breakfast. As a hotel manager myself I can't fault this hotel. Only stayed one night as we were going to a concert at the new coop live arena. Also the staff were excellent. We will definitely return

One of the worst, if not the worst, hotel experience I've had. Lack of equipment and furniture in the rooms. No fridge, no safe, no luggage tent. What is available is extremely worn out. Windows that don't close properly and even if they did let in all the noise from the streets, buses and trams. Mouldy patches on the ceiling by the windows and curtains. Curtains partly loose. Moths in the curtains and daily in the corridor of the floor. Wall lighting that is not connected. The furniture has been painted over with simple grey paint. However, they stopped at the top of the upper shelf because they apparently thought you wouldn't see it. However, tall people can see it. Doorstops are lying on the floor because they have been torn out of their fixings. The room door grinds and closes with difficulty. And all for an outrageously high price. Unfortunately, Mercure no longer seems to be a good choice.

Due to the location being close to the trams, it was difficult to drop off. However the staff where excellent. Unfortunately I lost the guys name last night who managed to sort me out a new room away from the noise (the Piccadilly Suite too!). He was a legend. Staff on 3rd floor during breakfast this morning where great too.
