I booked this last minute for £40 to go to watch Manchester United at Old Trafford and as a result of the local price surging (£100 -150+per night) that happens for United matches by Premier Inn and Travelodge in Manchester and surrounding area hotels. Firstly, the Hotel 346 is in is great, a vibrant student area with many, shops, pubs and retaurants. Buses take you to the city centre easily. In fairness staff were friendly and helpful. Sadly, though, the hotel is more of a hostel than the warmth and comforts you expect of a hotel. Tired and worn, with a very down at heel look. I used the room simply to sleep in and left as soon as I got up. Yes, there was a tv, tea and coffee, internet, the bedsheets and towels seemed clean, but the furnshing, fittings and decoration were in a bad state of deterioration. I didn't feel unsafe, but it isn't a family friendly place, nor for the sole traveller who perhaps feels vulnerable. I wouldn't stay there again, there are better options, say for a private bed and breakfast locally, or better standard but not chain hotels, if you pay a few quid more.

I checked in tonight at 9.45pm. Alll was fine until I asked the porter if I could take a key whilst I explored the area.He emphatically told me no and if I chose to explore the area I would be locked out. I questioned him and he claimed it was hotel policy to lock paying guests out at 10pm. He was happy to be quoted saying as such and said he was told to do so. His name was Alex

Don't waste your time and money on places like these that have no sense of professionalism. Awful management, owners treat their staff so badly. Services are terrible.

This hotel is clean, cheap, and well located. It was a satisfying experience for a two star hotel. If that is what you are looking for this hotel is a good option.

OVO Hotel 346 in Levenshulme is a dump as if I could I would give it minus 5 stars and that still wouldn't be enough as I stayed in room 310 as look at the pictures and choose to go or not plus I was on the first floor and it had a mouldy smell going upstairs as to the TV it didn't work and you have to be in the hotel by 11pm or you are not getting in and the main door is not open again until either 7 or 8am

I've stayed in some bad places over the years, but this was so gross i couldn't stay. People smoking crack in the car park and the rooms were disgusting.I told reception that we'd be leaving and not staying. Since then, OYO have refused to refund due to their cancellation policy. TERRIBLE customer service and terrible hotel. Don't do it to yourself.
