Reading the reviews I was worried I might have made a mistake, but I think it’s all been a bit overblown.Yes, the furnishings are tired and the place could use some TLC, but the room was clean, comfy, and mostly quiet, the man on reception was very helpful, and overall it is a perfectly good place to spend a night for the price. If your looking for somewhere for a holiday or a romantic weekend away in manchester, this may not be for you, but if you just need a place to sleep for a night without breaking the bank, it’s perfectly fine.

Currently living here temporarily as it appears its now less of a hotel and more of a emergency housing for the council. So i really cant complain. But can be honest about the place now. We have been here a week and seen one member of staff. We arrived and were told our room but not given any other information like house rules for example. The room was generally clean and spacious although bathroom could of done with a huge clean. I turned the shower on jet setting which was still weak and loads of the dirt and grime came off easily, a light scrub and i got the rest off. Cleaned out the shower drain myself aswell the same way. Since we arrived the sliding glass shower door has been hanging on by one wheel. We were told breakfast and food was only for staff. Although we haven’t seen any other staff. But there is a kettle in the room and toaster snd microwave we can use downstairs. The stairs are so steep and very difficult to carry a 5 month old baby up and down, while also being 3 months pregnant and having a room on the top floor. Obviously some things could be better but overall the rest of our room and the hotel are clean and tidy. We do really like our room but the stairs are killing my hips

I actually can't give this hotel any stars at all but had too to post. I stayed for one night in the Sale accommodation and was absolutely appalled by the state of the room. It was riddled with mold, the toilet was dirty and the carpet disgusting.I knew it would be basic but for 75 GBP I thought it would be at least clean and sleepworthy. It was absolutely awful. Photos attached. The shower dripped constantly during the night.I've travelled the world and I reckon this is the worst room I've ever stayed. I wrote to head office to obtain some feedback and received none.Wanted to share my experience to save others.

Bit minging. Walls and carpet all mucky, in need of redecorating. Booked a double room but only got a twin. Loud noises from the plumbing all night. Bathroom and bedding was all clean to be fair.Didn't feel particularly secure while we were there. But very cheap.OK for a night, do not book your annual holiday or a romantic tryst here though.

Stayed several times. But since it became a chain ( from family run) it's been allowed to deteriorate.. the rooms are in REAL need of decorating, updating, .. they dont advertise on websites, don't do breakfast, sad as it was a really friendly family hotel that cared for its premises and customers.. the reception person is really helpful and accommodating.. but the overall building is sadly neglected.. please spend time, effort on restoration to it.. convenient for the city, airport etc.. but restore it..

Comfortable rooms and handy for the centre and the metro. One or two items in the room were missing but soon replaced by the friendly young man on reception

The filthiest hotel I have ever visited. We managed roughly 6 hours here before speaking with the Manager Mohammed and leaving with a promised refund.  …

Firstly, what a dump. Secondly we got here to find that the two double rooms that I booked weren't available, we booked through Expedia (never again) and the hotel blamed them and Expedia blamed the hotel. …
