We only stayed one night but could have stayed a week. The hotel is so special. The views from the hotel amazing. The food and drinks especially my midnight cocktail was the best. Staff were excellent. …

We stayed here for one night since it was at the northern end of Skye. It is an older property, decorated in wood paneling, ornate- but not very comfortable smaller beds-. We were in a suite. …

It's a lovely building in a very beautiful setting. Full of character. The staff were very welcoming and helpful in every way.|We had a pleasant time sitting outside with a drink. There is plenty of parking and good access.|A pint of larger and lime and a wine and soda was £17,50.|So a bit pricey.

We visited the Flodigarry Hotel whilst travelling in Scotland. We were looking for somewhere to stop for afternoon tea and saw a sign to the hotel. It’s a little off the road so easy to miss unless you’re booked there. …

However good a hotel what really makes a fantastic one is its people. This place has exceptional staff. Helpful, friendly, professional, and giving the impression they were really happy to be working there, they made our stay memorable. The hotel itself is not cheap, but that does not mean that it is not value for money. Views to die for, comfortable welcoming rooms, outstanding food. Some places are more dog tolerant than dog friendly. Flodigarry is absolutely the latter. Bedding, bowls, treats and a dog toy were provided in our room, and we were allowed in every part of the hotel, even having good tables to dine at rather than being placed in a corner. This seemed to suit the other guests who made a huge fuss of him. The grounds are extremely attractive and you can walk right down to the sea. This is an absolutely outstanding hotel in an especially attractive part of the island.

First of all, the pros, super special hotel and incredible views. Two major cons. First, it's quite loud so it's hard to sleep if the person above you is an early bird and walking around their room. Second, the remoteness of the hotel (also a pro) means that the restaurant is your only real dining choice. And in my case, this was a disaster. I was the first diner around 6p and ordered the sole. The top half of the fish was tasty, but the bottom was soggy and the texture of the sogginess was weird. I didn't eat all of it. I ended up with the worst food poisoning of my life. I was up the entire night throwing up, which isn't something I ever do. I was so sick the next day that it cost me that day as well. Additionally, I could not eat the included breakfast the next day (though the staff was lovely enough to send toast and ginger ale). I figured that removing the £40 dish from my £1100+ bill was not a big ask, but management refused stating I was the only one who got sick. I hope this is true, but still, this is a made to order restaurant at the start of service so either it was undercooked or cross-contaminated. It does not matter if it happened to anyone else. And furthermore, does that mean you don't believe me? That's adding extreme insult to injury. To refuse any gesture at all (management would not even come talk to me, just told the receptionist no) after costing me sleep, the included breakfast, and a day of my holiday makes this a place I won't return to. (Added back a star because it was really was a lovely place, and the staff were lovely, and I hate to leave a negative review, but this is a 1 star review because management really messed up here.)

What a beautiful location! We stumbled upon this hotel and canceled our existing reservation at another hotel! The views are incredible, the staff is friendly, and the property is well maintained. The food was unbelievable... …

A huge stain in our, otherwise, perfect Scottish vacation. I booked this hotel after it was recommended by an acquaintance. Not sure exactly in what part of the hotel she stayed, but I would not recommend this place to even someone I disliked. When I did my booking there were only rooms with double beds or 2 twin beds. My husband is 6’6”, so a double bed is not an option, so I booked the room with 2 twin beds… the room is not only tiny and claustrophobic, with a separate bathroom and no shower, it was dirty, extremely outdated and definitely not what you expect when you book a $420 room in a “4 star property”. We tried to upgrade but the room they offered was over $300 more and, even though it was bigger, it was as tired and outdated as the original. I don’t mind paying extra for a 5 star room, but this is cannot even pass for a 2 star accommodation.I am currently laying in bed writing this review unable to sleep because my eyes and skin itch and I cannot stop sneezing. Cannot wait until morning to get the heck out of this horrible place. Skye is a gorgeous, magical place. Make sure you book somewhere else if you want to rest at night to enjoy the island.

Ok So when you are a tourist and you are relying on internet searches to give you an idea for lunch, after your day was pretty much doomed because of the weather.... that's where my husband and I were, during our stay on the Isle of Skye. …

We only visited the bar on two separate days. Looks really fancy but muddy hikers are welcomed! Great service from a girl from New Zealand behind the bar (sorry didn't catch your name). Children were welcomed too. Beautiful views out to sea! Had the biggest and best scones ever!
