The staff were absolutely lovely—very helpful and accommodating! They genuinely tried to make our stay pleasant and relaxing.||||Unfortunately, we found the rooms to be lacking in several areas. …

We loved everything about our stay at the Lodge, an amazing and dog-friendly mansion over the water. The young lady who welcomed us was absolutely charming and so kind, she even upgraded my Mom to a more comfortable room. Thanks again, it was so thoughtful of you! The rooms are perfectly clean and so relaxing. Dinner was excellent, and it's worth noticing that dogs are allowed in the restaurant which is great (it is a REAL dog-friendly place!). It was our first visit but definitely not the last. We look forward to visiting again!

This hotel is close to passing the advantage line. They are nice people and the food in the restaurant was great (so good to see vegetarian friendly options on the menu). Repeat, we really enjoyed our meal.We had room 22 at the top of the stairs. It is nice, BUT, there is no blind/curtain at all available on the window and the sun blazed in all afternoon. Worse, the foyer light well and upper stair window pour light into the room all night. Guys, a £15 blind from ikea would fix this. The shower floor needs nuking as it felt a bit oily. The bed was springy but comfy for two big people - no sag to the middle, as yet.All up, you get the feel they are working hard to lift things. It’s not far off great value for money.

Called for a last minute deal and received £120 pounds, the gentleman was very helpful. The room was basic but hygiene is questionable with some nasty spot on the wood and soap holders. The mattress is on the older side when you sit on it you feel the baseDidn’t try the restaurant it seem on the pricey side,The price didn’t even include breakfast

Great staff - I booked at about 2.30pm today last minute for tonight - turned up around 7.30pm to find out the hotel was closed that evening and I’d actually booked for the next night! The lovely guy in charge realised the predicament I was in and gave us a lovely room for the night! Brilliant!!

This was one of the most lovely hotels I have ever been, the room had a lake view with two sofas near the window, and the decoration was cozy and vintage. But what really touched me was the staff, Leon and Maria were unbelievably warming and attentive, the food in the restaurant was more than excellent! They really made us feel home <3 Million thanks!

A lovely 2 night stay here with my sister . We had booked a double room and as the hotel wasn’t full the kind owner offered us a second room so we could be even more comfortable. …

Booked in at the last minute while travelling around Scotland. Thought it was expensive but didn’t have much choice at the final hour. …

The most pleasant staff, the most incredible views, with some really wonderful food! We used this as a base between Edinburgh and Isle of Skye and it was perfect! They fit us in for a late dinner and were so kind! Yes, the facilities are a little dated, but we could see the work they were putting into the place— there’s only so much you can do at one time when it’s a family owned business. I highly recommend this as a stop for you to rest!
