The state of kettle says it all.Seems it's an age old place, so everything is hard to access starting with door knobs and bathrooms.Bathrooms are horrible with no adequate ventilation.

Not had the best of experiences at this place. Have stayed for 4 nights and there have been some issues with the hostel. The windows are single glazing meaning that you can hear every car that goes past, and it feels like it is permanently open. There was only 1 plug socket working in my room, I managed to move the bed to find another pair that was working. The blinds were broken. The shower had so much black mould, the handle was broken, and 1 of the toilets didn't have any handsoap for the full 5 days we were there. One of the toilets had this weird sticky crud on it for the whole stay, and the extractor wasn't working. The shower also leaked and the taps were very fiddly, it was one of those units that combines 2 conventional taps into a showerhead, but it was very old and leaking. The lounge area looked nice. The kitchen was okay, when we arrived there was no washing up liquid, but the owner replaced it within a few hours upon request. All of the equipment was cheap but everything worked. With a sticky toilet, black mould around the shower, 1 working plug and being cold due to window, I cannot recommend this. The only 2 benefits are that it is in a good location and it was very cheap at £35 a night for a double bed.Do not come here, find somewhere that has been renovated in the past 20yrs.

The we were welcomed as guests was very insufficient. The hostel is not easy to find in the street, there are no signboards. Then, entering our room was complicated and unclear. The tenants' email address looks like a spam, any professional hostel would use a standardized one.In our room, light was not working, we had to use our personal pocket lights.

Great price for a private room when the nearby backpackers cost the same price. 2 toilets and a shared shower. Cleaned every day. Rooms are small but mine had a double bed and 4 power plugs which was more than enough. Will def be coming back.

Very basic. But lower prices than other places. Not a hostel atmosphere - just rooms. Great location access-to-city wise, although traffic a little noisy at night. Felt safe, a good budget option! Just expect place to be VERY minimalist. Didn’t see many guests so we often had sole use of the kitchen in the eve which was a bonus

Just don’t! No staff on site, room / bathroom could use a do over and a proper cleaning. Common room unwelcoming.
