My husband and I spent a week at Achnacriche, hoping to "get away from it all." From the moment we arrived, we knew we had picked the right spot. …

Stopped here during a working week on the West Coast of Scotland. Picturesque B&B, set in an idyllic backdrop. Elfik, Zuzana and Rhonda are genial host; very accommodating to their guests. …

Would highly recommend this hidden Scottish Highland gem. We’d had 3 days in a beautifully comfortable, well-appointed room and the meals were so yummy we didn’t need to go anywhere else. A haven of peace and tranquility amidst spectacular land and seascapes, indoors and outside. Do visit the Nc’Nean Distillery nearby. All round lovelee…! ❤️

I had an excellent time staying at Achnacriche, and Elfik was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The meals I had were great. It's pretty remote, with driving along narrow roads to get there. Don't expect any options in terms of shopping or even food nearby. Enjoy the remoteness, go for a walk up through the fields or by the sea, and just revel in the beauty of the landscape and the quietness of the location.I also tried the fly fishing in the nearby loch, which was a very nice treat. Note that it's only catch and release.
