What a fantastic place! We were able to get a very last minute slot when poor weather was forecast on our PCP walk. A great welcome, comfortable bed, hot shower and the added bonuses of a drying room and self-serve breakfast. What's not to like? There were even ice packs in the freezer which were a huge relief wrapped in a towel for various aches and pains. So glad we came across this place.

We had the most wonderful time when staying at the Old School Hostel on a hiking trip. Nice, clean, quiet room. Lovely and super helpful owner. Great kitchen with everything you need for breakfast. Fantastic location just off the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Don't miss the Ship Inn, it has great food and beer!

I was walking the Coast path from Strumble Head and got beaten by a combination of the weather, the terrain and my age!! In desperation I called in at the Youth Hostel to see whether they could put me up for the night. …

Very comfortable accommodation. Great value for money and a perfect base to explore the area. Situated in the heart of the beautiful village of Trefin, a stone’s throw from the coast and the pub, which I also recommend for food and real ale..

We stayed for a night in October 2023 walking the Coast Path, parents and kids aged 7 & 8. We had a family room, with a double bed and bunk beds. Very friendly, plenty of help yourself / make yourself breakfast and a cozy communal lounge. Has a smallish but functional drying room, plentiful hot water and was well heated throughout. We used the excellent local pub for dinner, but the communal kitchen had everything and more for self catering. Thanks!

We have been here 2 years running for summer holiday with our children. We absolutely love it here. Beds are comfy and rooms have everything you would expect. Kitchen is well equipped and there are plenty of games/toys for kids to play with. Decent sized fridge for food and milk / bread / cereal provided. Plenty of seating to relax. The owner is absolutely wonderful and lovely and incredibly respectful. It's close to a number of beaches and activities. Kids park and basketball court seconds away. Recommend the bug place which is close too. We will be back next year!!

A great place to recharge batteries when walking the coast path. Paul is a good host with a friendly attitude. I particularly liked the self service breakfast, with everything you could possibly want freely available. A good meal available at the local pub too.

Very welcome place to stay after long days walk from Goodwick. We stayed in the self contained apartment which is perfectly equipped with all that you need. Breakfast was thoughtfully provided by Paul who went out of his way to help us. …
