Our room wasn't in great condition which can sometimes be the case in large hotels. The manager offered a different room and was quick to get that sorted for us.||Very happy with how the issue was handled.  …

From the moment I arrived I was made to feel welcome, the lady who greeted me checked me in with a smile. My room was clean, comfortable and stylish (I'm used to Travelodge which I do love but I'm a fan of purple). …

Stayed at this hotel for a business trip at the start of October. Rooms were very much your standard Premier Inn room so no complaints there. However make sure to check your invoice before you leave. …

Stayed here twice, the second stay purely because the location was good. My initial stay first floor room was tired, damp and had the most horrendous smell, every time I walked down the corridor I noticed it, I had to leave the window permanently open to reduce it- not good in late October, the building gutters were blocked at the rear causing water to cascade down the walls outside hence the damp, the trees need trimming and the leaves clearing to allow the place to dry out and the internet service/ phone signal is nonexistent. That said in fairness the second room was better (ground floor further from the gutters) but first impressions count for me and mine were not good, food was excellent in the restaurant but I would probably look for an alternative rather than stay here again it needs a huge amount of work to bring it back to standard.Whitbread need to realise that a budget hotel shouldn't mean substandard.

Stayed here for my first trip to BPW. Great clean and comfortable room which we were able to take our bikes into for safe keeping. The ladies on the desk were excellent, very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very tasty with a great selection. I'd definitely stay here again.

The hotel is "tired", decor a bit tatty. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room is fine for 1 night and the bed comfortable, but needs more facilities for a longer stay, a fridge for example would be useful, if only to keep some fresh …

We wernt supplied with the type of rooms booked. Poorly located on ground floor overlooking the car park and a cigarette bin.||Poor service in the pub/restaurant in the evening because we hadn't booked. Although the restaurant was quiet.||

Stayed here while working in the town centre, a short drive to get to the hotel but worth it, as gets you out of Merthyr a bit. Clean and comfortable hotel, staff good, typical Premier Inn standards. Would not be my first choice to go back to, as not much close regarding restaurant, the on-site table table was very ordinary.

Service and food very good but place was filthy as seen in the photos. I have emailed the company regarding this on two occasions but as of yet they haven't bothered to respond. Certainly won't be going back until the place has a refurbishment or at least a deep clean. We had two toddlers with us there is no way they should have been eating food in this filth
