The first room was quite small and had a bad smell, but the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful but was always cold. After 1 day there was water coming through the tiles in the bathroom when we flushed the toilet. …

This was the 3rd time we've stayed here and so we expected to have a good room.||We were even given the same room we had previously stayed in in 2023 which was room 102||We were happy with the room apart from a small crack in the sink which …

I have stayed at quite a few budget hotels in the UK and this one was at the lower rung of the ladder. The hotel is in dire need of refurbishment. As soon as we checked in and went to our room, we found that the toilet was dirty which was a big disappointment. The sink bowl had a crack in it and the tap was missing the lever handle. There are sachets for shampoo, body wash and tiny soaps but they aren't replenished as stated, therefore we had to buy our own from the nearby supermarket. They really need to sort the standard of their room service. There is no intercom and you have to climb one set of stairs, get into the lift and go down to the reception if you need anything (not all rooms are directly accessible by lift so you have to lug your suitcases up and down one flight of stairs). They have a small and tight parking space and you might be better off parking outside on the street where the parking is free after 4pm until 10am next morning. The breakfast seems to get rave reviews but I found it to be passable and also there were no croissants or muffins, no labels for food or allergens in the buffet. Some positive aspects being the staff who are welcoming and friendly and the location of the hotel is excellent as it's right next to the promenade.

Location only plus about this place. If I hadn't been asked to pay before going to room would have had a rethink about staying (school holidays) I had phoned in advance to advise partner has Parkinsons needed accessible shower etc. Room tired musty tiny. Bed looked unkempt almost like already slept in. Bathroom tiny and shower not able to access at all even myself trying to get in sideways!!!! Only positive was very white towels no consolation if u can't shower. The reception was like going into the basement NOT INVITING AT ALL and the so called bar 3 or 4 cramped tables surrounded by very worn tired club chairs and the occasional bar staff . Very low standard can't believe any of the positive reports because they don't portray our experience at all. Breakfast quite nice served by very pleasant staff. Would definitely NOT stay there again . Waste of £750 2 rooms 3 nights. Daylight robbery.

Staff were so friendly. Parking wasn't the best but we were told we could park over the road till the next morning , we were then able to get a spot . The decor was a bit tired but the hotel as a whole was clean and tidy. The breakfast was lovely, especially the mushrooms! 😋

Stayed at this hotel for 3 night's,We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel Breakfast buffet was very good and there was a good choice of coffees, there is a small cosy bar. There are also tables and chairs on the front terrace were you can sit and have a drink. Our room was small with a bathroom and ample for our needs. There is parking at the rear of the hotel. The town centre is within easy walking distance as is the pier.

Dissatisfied. Booked 2 nights. Checked in late (10pm) pre warned hotel. Reception took ages to sort room and we had no idea why and he had to keep ringing someone and disappearing to the room. Eventually got a room which was very small and although booked a double got a twin with beds pushed together (think receptionist went up and did this before we got key). Room overlooked car park and was very disappointing. Went to ask if there was alternative to be told we would have to pay extra to upgrade. Decided against paying extra and agreed to cancel 2nd night and we would get refund in morning for the one night.Went to reception in morning to be told we were given this room because someone took the key home for the room we should have had. So I attempted to explain if given an inferior room to the one I booked then we should be offered some kind of refund. (May have stayed both nights too) I was told if the receptionist had phoned them the night before we would have had a free upgrade and so again indicating we had an inferior room and so I again pointed out I should no be paying for something I didn’t get. I was then told because I slept in room there was no refund due. What was we to do at 10pm at night. They offered a discounted return trip which I refused for obvious reason.Such bad customer service.Hotel a bit tired. Think the sea front rooms look ok but the back ones small and not good. Needed good vacuum. Breakfast to be fare was good.

What I would describe as a very low budget hotel which requires a total refurb. We had a double room which was on the 3rd floor. Just about bug enough to swing a cat in. …
