We had dinner at the Red Lion. We were not disappointed, staff friendly and helpful, food was excellent, a proper restaurant atmosphere. We had Tapas to share, honestly, it was difficult to choose from the large selection. Chicken, onion pakora, and calamari were stunning!!! I had a braised beef and my other half had a lamb shank. It was just amazing! The kids had sausages and nuggets with chips and they found it so delicious. Perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft and beautifully seasoned inside Service was amazing . The staff were prompt on their feet. Found time to come and chat with us to make sure everything was good Haven’t had such a beautiful experience anywhere else.

The Red Lion Hotel in Wales has a charming rustic exterior, especially in autumn when the red leaves cover the walls—it's truly picturesque. We enjoyed a lovely evening with a Welsh band performing, adding a great touch to the atmosphere. The hotel’s traditional Welsh-themed decor adds character, though it may feel a bit dated to some. We used a skeleton key to open the door. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with a unique experience.

No staff on overnight, they all left at 9.00pm. Room was ok but needed a deep clean. Don't think it has been cleaned behind the bed since Henry 8th was there...

We stayed here for two nights. Very old Pub and the rooms are named after Kings and Queens. The ornate Four poster bed was a bit uncomfortable but we were only there for a short time so could put up with it. It was very clean and tidy though.

Had a wonderful stay at the Red Lion Hotel, when visiting the local area for a wedding, Llangadog in general isn’t the biggest village, neither is it in the most desirable spot,HOWEVER….. it is a great base to go venturing further afield in the local area, and the Red Lion Hotel was a very lovely, last minute find. The room we had was a great size, very clean, with good facilities. We had the Henry the VIII room which was a good bit of fun and we loved the design.I would definitely visit again, check in and check out is a breeze and the staff are lovelyThis is a pub hotel, but regardless, a perfect place to stay in the areaUntil next time

Great local pub, had a superb ale, watched some rugby and chatted with the locals. Also fine selection of non alcoholic beers for the drivers.

Incredible pub! You wouldn't expect a sleepy Welsh village to have such a gem of a place. It was brim-full of excellent locals, lovely bar staff, and a great menu. We stopped by once for a quick bite to eat and were so impressed we came back again the next day for the gig they had advertised on a small poster on the bar. I can't remember a more enjoyable evening!

Reception was friendly and welcoming. However the room is stuffy and filled with carpets, drapes and bed covers all in need of a good wash. They were all clean yet smelt like they had been lying around a while. I get allergies just thinking about the mite fest. Bathroom lamp is burnt out, room lamp is a disco flickering. Only the lamp above the bathroom mirror was usable. Bed is crazy soft and sagging in the middle.Toilet ring is loose. There is one socket below the tv and the lead of the kettle not long enough to reach this. Marvellous! Thankfully I had an extension lead with me.Window goes out onto the road where you hear people from within the pub as well as the music loud and clear. They are not serving food! Not sure this is worth 50£…

We stayed her for the weekend, very accommodating to ourselves as we arrived late. The room was massive with a four poster bed and a bath. They had everything we could require, even supplied us with a dog bed for the pooch. …
