Unfortunately a very poor experience. We were staying here on a stop over. We weren't expecting much but what we got was awful. On entering the "apartment" we were confronted by a horrendous smell of mould and damp. On the ceiling there was a big patch of mould. After finding additional bedding in the cupboard we were horrified to find mould on the spare duvets. In the same cupboard it looked like mushrooms were growing out of the coat hook rack. I personally would not stop there again unless it was completely deep cleaned. It's a shame as the place has the potential to be nice but the finish is terrible and mould is bad!

Rooms where lovely & clean. Unfortunately the rooms have little or no insulation so very noisy from the rooms surround you & above you, you can actually hear conversations. Breakfast was mediocre & had been left on the hotplates far too long.

My experience of a visit to this “Hotel” was really poor. We booked earlier in the year as we were attending the Eisteddfod in Llangollen but you can imagine our disappointment when we found that there was no hot food available either in …

Grim. The lad ‘welcoming’… wasn’t.The lady who works here (Romanian?) was very friendly. Was shown to the smallest room in the loft. Which is very small, outdated, and very dirty.I managed to wedge the filthy window open with coat hangers as the room was like a sauna (despite outside being a cool night).Woken every 5 minutes by very loud lorries passing the window on the road below. The bathroom is tiny and filthy (see pictures).Oh, and the room stinks of greasy food, either from some extractor fans nearby, or possibly the previous guest. In summary, avoid.

Wonderful little hotel housed in an historic coaching inn. Very well-maintained and spotlessly clean. We stayed in an apartment in the converted garages. Recently refurbished, it had everything we could possibly need.  …
