We visited as non-residents and all the staff were very helpful. They found a suitable table to accommodate my Dad's wheelchair and opened difficult doors when needed. The food was quite nice and well served.I would have given 5* but we were extremely unhappy with the facilities for disabled visitors. There were no tables in the lunchtime venue that would accommodate a wheelchair - they were all very low tables. The staff were excellent in helping but we did end up separated from all the other diners in the residents' lounge as that was the only place with suitable tables. It was very peaceful but we did feel somewhat cut off especially as my Dad only leaves the house a couple of times a week and enjoys being around other people. However, our main complaint is the lack of disabled toilets. When I enquired at reception as to where the disabled toilet was, we were told the only one was a cubicle within the ladies toilets. Using this felt incredibly uncomfortable and demeaning for a male wheelchair user. I had to accompany my Dad as the doors were too heavy to open, the sinks were too high to wash his hands properly and it all felt very degrading. I can't imagine how dreadful a young l, independent disabled male would have felt having to do the same. An hotel as large as The Parkway really should be doing better than this.

Went for a combined birthday/baby shower afternoon tea. Food was delicious and very well presented. Private room was tastefully decorated and large enough for the number who attended. Service was a little slower than expected but that didn't spoil the afternoon one bit. Would definitely recommend for location and value for money.

We came for the Thursday twilight package which included full use of the spa facilities a 25 minute treatment and a 3 course meal. Every member of staff we met from start to finish was polite, helpful and professional beyond what you normally get now. The pool area was lovely and cosy and very clean and not over crowded. The treatment was fantastic we had a back, shoulder and neck massage. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. We were very impressed and will be recommending and visiting in the future, thank you!
