We went to stay in this hotel for my friends 60th birthday. We arrived to very good off street parking, the reception from the lovely staff was warm and welcoming. The rooms are reasonable but old style. However, considering value for money including one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had, excellent value for money. Would stay again.

Lovely Hotel with great staff who are super helpful and welcoming.Great breakfast with plentiful partitions to set you up for the day!Right in the centre of Lydney, with easy access to local services.Would recommend for a weekend break!

Fantastic stay here,we went to see Tom Jones in Chepstow, location was 20 minutes drive away. Walked through the door to be greeted by lovely friendly staff ,made us feel welcome. The rooms were clean and tidy, breakfast in the morning was really good,lots of choice... hopefully be staying here again next year....... Martin said thank you for the yoghurt 😀........

All the staff were wonderful, here. Chris booked us in then showed us to our room, it was of a good size with a very comfortable bed. During our stay the breakfast choices were very good, enough to please all......best poached eggs in town.|Looking forward to our next visit in Autumn 🍂 time. |So it's a BIG thanks from Keith& Linda.

I had stayed for 2 nights, and i loved.Nice Staff, nice bedroom with shower, busy as it gets, car park on the back, good smell in the corridors and bedrooms.Its on good location, right in the corner of a small junction, between Tesco and Lidl.You have a train station nearby, and Lydney Harbour with a small parking, where you can park and walk around through the walk way or through the fields next to the Severn River!!!!

Convient location. Staffs are very friendly & helpful. They know well what hospitality is about. Excellent breakfast. I was staying in room 7 for 4 nites. Good mattress. The firmness was just perfect for me which offered me restful nights duirng my stay. Room is clean. Bathroom is clean & roomy. The only small downside is the watertap is old style (hot water & cold water are separated) and the socket in bathroom was out of order.If I will ever travel again to the area, I will probably take this hotel.

Held a lunch party to celebrate a special birthday a couple of weeks before Christmas. Party included three young children. Food and service were outstanding (thanks in particular to Chris, who went well beyond what we could have expected). Home cooked really means home cooked here. Highly recommended! Only problem with this venue is parking is a bit restricted
