On plus side receptionist was very pleasant when we arrived. Other than that I wouldn't say it deserves 4 star rating. Stayed in 4 star before and was much better ..beds not the most comfy think mattresses need replacing due to feeling the springs and they had the dip in middle which gave me back back following day. Radiator in bathroom not the cleanest. Cracked hand basin and mirror all worn around edges. Breakfast was nice n fresh and plentiful

Stayed at this lovely picturesque hotel in North Wales for 4 nights as a family of 4 in a family room.Greeted by extremely friendly staff who really made is feel welcomed and valued.Room was a great size and comfortable. Had bunk beds for the kids which we hadn't seen before and was a great idea.Fantastic to have a pool on site and was always clean and warm.Lovely building and grounds and nice and close to some great things to see.Would highly recommend to this anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable and welcoming stay.

Possibly the most dog friendly hotel we’ve stayed in. Room was big, dogs get their own beds, bowls, mats and treats. Plenty of outdoor space for them to explore, and they even set up their own place at the table in the conservatory. For dog owners the hotel has an excellent pool, sauna and fitness suite. The breakfast service was excellent - all freshly cooked and delicious. Loads of parking and easy walk to a pretty village with pubs, shops and parks. Building looks a bit tired, but everything works, and we thought our stay was excellent value.

This hotel is conveniently located near to St Asaph but is far enough away to make it very quiet and safe. The room could probably benefit from an upgrade although it was well equipped and very spacious. Good value and certainty a competitor to the better known national chains.

We stayed in front room facing road the traffic noise at night was terrible we had hardly any sleep. The beds were not comfortable needs new mattresses . Overall staff were pleasant and the breakfast was good . Understand traffic beyond hotel control but double glazing would help.

We had our wedding at the Oriel Hotel in October 2023. Most of our guests stayed for two nights. Nothing was too much trouble for Jo, Tracy and the team. The food & drink was fantastic. …

Hotel seemed very dated and in need of TLC. Gave the atmosphere of things being skimped. No welcome pack,no attempt to promote offers of restaurant bar or facilities offered in Spa.  …
