My son and I have just stayed here for a night as part of a weekend of adventure activities. It's a nice hotel, good food on the evening and morning, vegetarian and vegan options. Friendly, helpful staff. A great riverside walk just across the road too!

Had a Sunday carvery. Great food, very tasty and plenty of it. A nice, unpretentious pub with friendly staff and reasonable prices. Only thing I didn't like was the massive flat screen TV showing football, but that's just my opinion.

Overall, the room was fine and the food was ok. Would have been lovely to stay in the room i had booked. However, one of the staff who checked us in, failed to mention that the hotel shuts its main doors at a certain time in the evening and we would have use the back door. My friend and I came back to the hotel late at night to find it locked and didn’t know what to do, we are young girls and were stranded. The number we were given was rung and no one picked up so we had to uber somewhere else to stay for the night - however in the morning when we went back, the staff were lovely and issued me a full refund and apologised. Please be mindful that this hotel shuts at a certain time but doesn’t say it anywhere online so make sure you ask them!

Excellent food, very impressive menu. Overnight stay was SO good, the room was spotlessly clean, good quality bedding and the most comfortable bed. So handy for the Arts Centre. It was our first visit but definitely won't be our last. Highly recommended

Took my sister here for food last night and we had a wonderful time. We were offered to sit i the bar as there were to large parties in the restaurant area which i thought was very considerate. …
