Such a wonderful, enjoyable, comfortable, special and friendly place to stay. This family run business exceeded expectations - from it super clean, beautifully decorated and spacious room, to the very friendly staff and locals, to the artistic and unique touches through the whole place, to the fantastic location in the real heart of the South Wales Valleys. On the weekend we were there, there was live music in the dedicated (fantastic) venue room next to the bar which we very much enjoyed (and no, you could not hear any noise from the bedroom and it didn't go on late anyhow). I'd highly recommend as both a place to stay and a music venue. Well done Anja and family! A++

Every bit as comfortable and professional as a Premier Inn... but infinitely more human warmth of welcome. The ensuite room was beautiful and the surrounding countryside delightful. Although the kitchen was closed for staffing reasons, that's OK as they merit 6 stars when kitchen running! As soon as I woke up I was hatching plans to stay again.

Cycled from Cardiff with a friend with the hope of some wild camping. The weather was horrid so called last minute and they made us two beds up. From the price the facilities were fantastic. Great that there is a bar above as well - which even has Lucky Saint (alcohol free lager) on draught, as well as a wide selection of beers and many more alcohol free options.Would stay again in a heartbeat.

A lovely pub with great staff and a fantastic live music venue. I can't accurately review the rooms as I didn't use one, but I am certain that they are of the same high quality as the rest of the venue.Go here, have a meal, watch a live band - you can't go wrong.
