Stayed one night at the Blue Bell and i thought the hotel was total value for money. Very friendly and helpful staff and very comfortable room and sound sleep. We were in a room overlooking the main road and no traffic sound issues. Breakfast was cooked to order and was tasty.

With a plethora of big name hotels in the area, you might be forgiven for not considering this place. Do so at your peril, the rooms are well decorated with all the facilities, as is the hotel. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and all at a very reasonable price. Check it out before going elsewhere.

Very poorly maintained rooms. Long over due a fit out. Tatty furniture and the bath panel was completely rotten. Housekeeping needs quite a shake up. Stained pillow cases, clogged bath with hair and mould on the windows. Obviously care isn't taken when cleaning the rooms.

The Hotel is ideally situated for the local bars and restaurants. The staff are kind and attentive. The breakfast certainly beats the chains (premier inn, holiday inn etc). The trouble is the absolute state of the building. The ceiling tiles are mouldy with almost stalactites coming down. The rooms have broken fittings such as door hinges walls and failed electrical equipment. The beds are like cardboard. With a deep clean and some basic repairs this would be a good hotel. Some investment is needed before some form of health establishment takes the decision for them.

First impressions are important. The exterior of the hotel is dilapidated and run down and completely off putting. Once inside, the interior was much better. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. …

Pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was as it looked a bit shabby from the outside. Room and facilities were great but only issue was with the heating as the room was a bit cold but when I turned the thermostat on there was a continuous beeping from the fan which didn't stop until the heating was turned off so I had to make a choice of either being cold or constant beeping.Breakfast was ok with a choice of full English or toast or cereals.

Upon arrival, the room was very well cleaned. However, due to rainy weather, we did have a few leaks at the bay window. Our shower door couldn't open, so we couldn't take a shower. We enjoyed baths instead. The included breakfast was OK. More variety would of been nice. Overall it was a comfy stay and we would book again when returning to neath

I would not call this a hotel. I stayed here four years ago and it was absolutely beautiful. Went back for a funeral booked two rooms both rooms in very poor condition. …
