My wife and I stayed here for two nights on one of the Metropole’s famous ‘wine and dine’ offers. We’ve been visiting here for quite a few years now. It used to feel so special, but we’re not so sure now. …

The hotel was a little dated but it was fitting. I wouldn't expect a modern interior when from the outside it looks like the building has character. As for the rooms, the design follows suit with the rest of the hotel but the bathroom had been recently refurbished. For me this left a lasting impression because I innately judge a hotel by the state of the bathroom and I must say mine was immaculate.Service was brilliant but then again, it always has been. I used to stay here as a child with my family but haven't visited in 20 years and can always remember the service and quality of the staff to be highly professional. Will definitely be returning soon!

My main words to describe this whole place would be “traditional”. The staff were really friendly, the rooms were fine, if not a little dated, and the food was really pleasant. …

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on our way to Aberystwyth. |Overall the experience was good. Having a lounge makes a change from the small or no lounge areas normally found in the chain motels. …

The Metropole takes advantage of the fact that there is little competition in Llandrindod Wells. Three of us stayed while visiting friends. We had no problem paying more for an independent hotel but it just wasn’t worth it. …

We got married mid week at the metropole and despite our wedding party being small we received excellent service and were made to feel extra special. Lauren was on hand throughout the whole process and did an amazing job. …

This is a huge hotel. In parts dated but has everything we needed for a family night away. We booked a family room which actually was an adjoining room.We had plenty of space for the four of us, kids had bunk beds and had a sofa in the room.We used the swimming pool, the jacuzzi was out of order, the steam room and sauna were fantastic .The pool was pretty shallow so great for families and it was empty so great for us.We had an evening meal in the more casual restaurant and the food was superb, service was great, staff were very attentive.

Great service by the whole team as usual. We were served at dinner by the lovely Edyth and at the brazzerie by the equally lovely Sylvia. The team at the Metropole always go out of their way to give myself, my wife and our dog a terrific welcome. They always remember our name on arrival and that's great to see as it adds a personal touch that is not always found in a hotel of this size. Please keep up the great experience at the Metropole. Rooms always spotlessly clean.
