The room was lovely; I love the privacy curtains for each bed! It was also warm and the beds were comfortable. Four stars only because there were no storage solutions at all (hooks, shelves, etc) which made it a bit inconvenient as there was nowhere to place things. As well, the bathroom was very tight and water escaped the shower stall easily, but there were no mops readily available to address that. However, I would come again! It is only the second hostel I have stayed at but it is the better one by far.

I’ve stayed in a fair few hostels over the years but this was by far the best. You really wouldn’t think it was a hostel. Everything is very stylish, clean and comfortable. The shower is amazing. …

Great new hostel, very modern, clean and well appointed. Comfy beds, good drying room and amazing staff. |Base Camp does not have a kitchen for guest use and eating late in Betws can be tricky as places can close early. Coffees and teas at Base Camp are rather expensive for guests, particularly as there are no other facilities.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming! Check-in process was seamless. The hostel itself was very modern and comfortable, and in a great location. Although I don't believe there was a kitchen, reception staff were more than happy to provide us with hot water, cutlery and coffee - would stay here again!

My son and I stayed at Base Camp Snowdonia 27/28 September 2024. We were originally going to book into one of the more traditional bunk houses that we’ve used in the past and always thoroughly enjoyed. …

A gem of a bunk house in great location in Betws-y-coed. Bunks comfortable, good modern showers and toilet facilities. Some bunk rooms with en-suite. Large communal area with great coffee. …
