A lovely hotel, great service and food. The rooms are 'nice' but attention to detail is poor. One light not working in the bathroom, wonky misaligned toilet seat and a radiator that had leaked and was isolated with a little sign saying not to switch on. I understand that radiators do leak but the other items should of been picked up by housekeeping and rectified as the room was serviced.

We recently celebrated a special anniversary hiring the Aintree Room, and were very impressed with the experience. From the start, their communication was excellent, ensuring everything was planned smoothly. …

Refurbished hotel, lovely rooms and efficient, friendly staff. No ground floor rooms and no lift so stairs could be an issue but the receptionist kindly carried out luggage up for us. It was quite chilly in the room and the heating could not be on till October but a heater was offered. The bar and restaurant are really nice with excellent food and drink.

Celebrated a birthday here last night. Couldn't fault the service or the high quality of the meal. Even better was the offer of a free main and dessert if it was your birthday!|Even without the offer of the free meal, prices were very reasonable considering it was an hotel.

We visited for my husband's 60th birthday and the staff went out of their way to make our stay special. The room was fabulous and the food fantastic but it is the staff that make this place stand head and shoulders above the rest. …

We visited Oswestry and were looking for somewhere to eat, however we had our dog with us. I was amazed that dogs were allowed in, as the decor inside was extremely high end, however the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We had a couple of drinks and a pizza each. The food was excellent, as was the service. Prices are very reasonable and one chap who worked there (maybe the owner or manager) came and asked if we would like a sausage for our dog which he loved, which was a really nice touch! Excellent all round!

A moderately sized old coaching inn, situated in the heart of historic Oswestry, with 31 rooms, 3 restaurants and bars, and its own large on-site car park, accessed by barrier. An historic hotel with lots of old world charm. We stayed for two nights and found the food to be delicious, at both breakfast and dinner, topped by excellent service. I would happily stay again, and consider it would be an excellent choice for a wedding or small conference. Great to sit outside by the hotel's Crown Green Bowls area sipping a cold drink. Hotel bedroom was as expected of a 4 star hotel. No air con in the room, but the sash windows all opened. There was nothing I did not like, and recommend it for a short stay.

I have just stayed a night at this hotel in the town I grew up in. Very professional and helpful staff offered a very good service in comfortable and up to date accommodation. The room was luxurious, scrupulously clean, and quiet. …

Exceptional Stay at Wynnstay Hotel – Highly Recommended! After our Airbnb plans fell through, we urgently needed accommodation for three nights for our party of eight (two families of four). We were so fortunate to find Wynnstay Hotel & Spa, which turned out to be an absolute lifesaver. Chris and the entire team went out of their way to accommodate us, ensuring that we were comfortable and well taken care of from the moment we arrived.Every staff member, from the reception to the restaurant and bar, was welcoming and attentive, making us feel truly valued as guests. The surrounding grounds of the hotel were lovely and relaxing, providing a serene atmosphere that was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. We also made use of the gym, and Rad, the owner, was brilliant—friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning whenever we’re in or near Oswestry again. If you're looking for a place that combines comfort, hospitality, and beautiful surroundings, Wynnstay Hotel & Spa is the place to go. Highly recommended, and a big thank you to Chris, Rad, and the entire team for making our trip a wonderful one!
