Located at the city center with many F&B and attractions within walking distance such as Cardiff Castle, arcades, and museums. The bus stops are also nearby. There is a bar (which is also the reception during check in) on the ground floor so there could be music at night. The staff is friendly. The room condition is adequate and tidy when I check in. The toilet condition is adequate initially but getting quite dirty after night time. The shower is ok but the flow rate of the drain is slow.Overall experience is adequate and acceptable at this price. It would help to greatly improve the customer experience by maintaining cleanliness consistently.

we were very surprised by the cleanliness of the room. in fact the sheets were not changed. People were eating in the beds so there was food in them and a used toothbrush left from the previous person. The bathroom was really disgusting, not washed for a long time I think. But the location was great.

Do not recommend, there was a musky dirty smell as son as you enter the door. We were supposed to stay 2 nights and opted to leave early and only stay the 1 night due to the uncleanliness. …

PLEASE read: I will be completely honest with you all.I have stayed at other hostels which are a little.. bit more expensive and one that very close to this price. They were all CLEAN.- This hostel with so incredibly FILTHY... dirt all though the showers & mould! Sinks / floor clogged.- The sleeping area:Dust all over the floor...They do not mop or clean the floors. They do a little bit in the bathroom... not much.I have videos... Iv showed other people.. it was gross!- The music... holy cow.. you are on top of a bar./ club. Do not expect to sleep unless you gave earplugs / heavy sleeper. The vibration goes right though you and is VERY loud!- The staff were nice. But I did ask them about cleaning the floors and they dismissed it.. :/- The location is right in the middle of town - which is great!- No where to store food, cook or a common room. Just bar downstairs.- Fun Bar!Overall:I'm an easy going person, but this was not ok! Proper CLEANLINESS is the bottom line.I will never ever stay there again. It was way too dirty and noisy!I had to leave before my stay was up and move accommodation so I could rest. My asthma was going mental with all the dust and crap. Plus no sleep. If you want a cheap place to crash but don't care if it's dirty, go for gold!.

I have seen a few reviews on here that are negative so I will give a fair and honest review.Yes, there is a slight smell when you walk in, but it goes away as soon as you enter the rooms. It’s not really a memorable smell and it’s not bad. The rooms are what you pay for, but you get fresh and clean bedding. I stayed in an all female dorm and the people I stayed in the rooms with were clean, quiet, polite and kind. Yes, there is a bar below and it is loud at night time, however, this noise minimises when the windows are shut, and I recommend just wearing headphones or some earplugs - just ignore the noise, you will sleep through it. The rooms are nice and warm too. The bathrooms are basic standard ones, they may appear dirty due to wear and tear, but you can tell that everything is cleaned reguarly. The manager of the place is also very helpful. Great first stay in Cardiff on my own, it was great! Not far from the train station, great location. Nice little hostel, worth the money, you feel safe.

This hostel is totally unsafe. I came back very late to find a man in my bed who wasn’t staying in the hostel. After understandably shouting at him. He refused to leave and on the way out made a show of trying to grab my bag. Later two other gentlemen came into the room to try to calm me down who I presume were also staying in the hostel. They have security guards outside, yet this seems to have happened before from a previous review. Rather alarmingly, I have a friend who is supposed to stay in your hostel at some point and I’ve had to raise the alarm that this place isn’t safe, particularly for women.I have a feeling that the owner of this hostel simply thinks that either the negative reviews are lying or even more troubling, he/she doesn’t care about what happens to their guests. I am in talks with the manager who at the very least acknowledges that this seems to be a regular occurrences

I have been staying in hostels for many years and I have never encountered such a disgusting establishment and in such bad conditions as this one.Dirt everywhere, non-existent maintenance, bad smell throughout the room, few bathrooms and poorly maintained and in reportable hygienic conditions, no customer service, reception closed most of the day (and of course no one at night ), stinky beds where sleeping becomes difficult due to the discomfort and unsanitary nature they present, no common area where you can eat or prepare food, a bar on the floor below that emits noise until the wee hours that make it impossible to sleep,...The best thing that could happen to this establishment would be for them to tear it down and rebuild it from scratch.Avoid in any case if what you want is not to spoil your stay in Cardiff. An absolute horror.
