I didn't stay in a hotel room as we just went in for a breakfast.Ruthin must be the most inaccessible place we (as powered wheelchair users) have ever visited. We were just about to give up on finding somewhere to eat, this Wetherspoons being the last and having large steps up into it and with no sign of any alternative entrance, when I thought we would be cheeky and have a look around the rear, which didn't look to be for the public. Sure enough they do have a very decent ramped entrance and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. Our cooked breakfasts were very good at a good price. The accessible toilet was good too, probably above average. There are some really history filled dining rooms with fire place and oak panelling which are very nice.In short, don't give up on Ruthin, there's always a good 'Spoons to visit. Thanks

I have tried to contact weather spoons to do a complaint and also raise my concern over our incident to avoid this happening to another person, had one reply and nothing since!!Me and my partner thought we would go to this weatherspoons to have a meal, we both had the mix grill. Unfortunately by the time we went to bed i started to become seriously ill and by the morning also my partner was.We ended up very dehydrated and wasn’t able to eat for two days!!This is very concerning as we take our kids occasionally here, if they became even slightly ill like we were we would be in hospital!!The company does not seem to care over this! Please be careful with the food!!

Fancied a night away as a couple and booked the Castle Hotel. What a little gem of a Wetherspoons, lovely room spot on service and quality food at a reasonable price along with good beer and wine. We were so chilled we never went for a walk to try other pubs in the town…. Will be definitely staying here again. 👍👍

Bargain price rooms, great all-in offers on food and drink. Some bargain price, good value drinks, and food. A lovely old building renovated thanks to Wetherspoons. It's one of the best spoons around.

Good food for not outrageous money. In a really good location if you're exploring Ruthin, you'll never be more than 5 minutes walk away. 'Spoons aren't highbrow so don't be expecting fancy but if you want a tasty bite without breaking the bank they tick the box. Was clean tidy and not too crowded for lunch.

Great Spoons, good food and good service. Only let down was one of the coffee machines was out of action which caused a bit of a queue. Service was helpful and friendly and food arrived quickly and was tastey and fresh

We had a lovely room, but had to ask for clean towels as the sign on room door was turned around after we left for the day so they didn't replenish the hot drinks either. They were extremely busy in the restaurant and bar and short staffed. Not good for the start of the summer holidays.

My wife and I have called here many times for breakfast or lunch.Food has always been good.We had the eggs Benedict and a traditional breakfast with tea and a latte.Everything was good except for the bacon being paper thin, but all bacon in Wetherspoons breakfasts is like this. There are steps inside everywhere,so not good if you are disabled. The parking outside here is very limited. There are about 6 spaces on a pay and display, this only allows you 45 minutes for 75 pence.
