Pentre Bach is nestled in an absolutely stunning valley on the Western flanks of Snowden. Whilst I’ve visited Snowdonia many times, it was my first time to this lesser visited side of the mountain and my only wish is that I discovered it sooner and Pentre Bach the perfect base to explore the area. It is quiet, peaceful and very charming. It has a wonderful bunkhouse equipped with everything you will need for both hearty meals and a comfortable night’s sleep and the campsite is secluded and sheltered making for a very relaxing and easy camping experience. The shower block, toilet and washing facilities were always spotlessly clean and I enjoyed lovely hot showers throughout my extended stay. I was planning on staying at for 2 nights and enjoyed it so much I ended staying for 10 days straight I enjoyed it that much. Thank you!

Had a stag at Pentre Bach bunkhouse. Everything about the bunkhouse is great: the location is fantastic and close to lots of great hikes, it has all the amenities you need, the bunkhouse is clean, and the price is really reasonable. There's even a firepit and barbecue outside. This is my second time staying at the bunkhouse and I'd highly recommend it as a great base for hikes all year round.

Okay campsite, simple facilities. Karen kindly let us reschedule our stay however staying in the off season did mean the grass was very long which Karen apologised for, it meant for an extra wet and soggy stay. Also if you're camping note that you are pretty much in the garden of the house so it does not feel very remote. Stars were good. No benches or good places to do a fire pit but again this was influenced by being there in wet September. There was a fire pit but I found it confusing to use, tbf Karen was very kind about this.

We arrived at this bunkhouse at the end of day 1 of cycling the length of Wales. There was one room with 16 beds. The beds were all touching eachother and mattresses could do with updating. The showers and toilets were separate from the room but were clean and ample. There was plenty of bike storage and the service was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed.

Really well kept and welcoming campsite. Owners were lovely and super helpful, facilities were clean and well-maintained. After walking all day, having a warm shower and a campfire was just what was needed. Absolutely no complaints and look forward to staying again. Hidden gem in Snowdon!

We stayed for one night in our SWB campervan. £20 (cash only) for two people. Basic campground with clean showers (not push button) and toilets. No electricity, disposal or WiFi. Very quiet site and friendly owner.
