We stayed here for 2 nights. In fact I'm writing this just before we check out.The location is absolutely stunning. The views are gorgeous. Our room is lovely, comfy and very clean and tidy. The staff have been wonderful, they are so welcoming and friendly. We've had the cooked breakfast and it's the nicest breakfast I've had anywhere. Cooked fresh, delivered to the table lovely and hot on warm plates! Plus warm croissants and fresh juices etc.Dinner was amazing, the food is delicious! Great portion sizes and everything cooked to perfection. There's such a relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. The garden outside is lovely and it's location right next to the river with easy access to some stunning walks is fabulous. We've had a great time exploring and watching the kayakers on the river. With Ross on Wye and Monmouth within a 15-20 minute drive too, it's been great for a bit of retail therapy! The only thing I will say, if you're tall - make sure you book a king bed! My other half is 6"2 and the double in our room had a high base board which meant he struggled to fit 🤣 but nevertheless it was so comfy 😁We've enjoyed some much needed r&r in this beautiful spot.

Well - just lovely all round. My partner was given a two-night break voucher as a leaving gift from his last job. We had dinner included on the first night and breakfast on both days. …

You guys blew us away!||Our beautiful daughter was christened today and the venue of The Royal Lodge was used for the reception, paired with her 1st birthday celebrations. From start to finish the venue was amazing. …

Staff: helpfulLocation: scenic and pleasantBreakfast: poor quality and not worth the charge. This could be vastly improved. We left feeling hungry and ripped off as there is a £15 charge and the plate is only half full.Rooms: dated, had exposed pipes. Cleanliness okay. Sliding door on bathroom. Separate sink. No window attached to bathroom. Really needs a re-vamp.Value for money? At 115 a night, this was poor quality. Overall I am disappointed and would not recommend. Stay nearby as the location is beautiful.

Very welcoming staff. In my opinion this is the best place for daytime food on the riverside!!Sunday lunch is fantastic.Prices are similar to other establishments in the area, but the outside space is far superior. Also the menu is full and the food is perfect.Highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning location .|Just had a 2 night break away at this lovely accommodation .|Apparently, not allowed to call it a hotel as it doesn't meet some of the criteria required, i.e., no lift or 24-hour reception . …
