This is a beautiful, clean and comfortable hotel. Peter is the polite and friendly owner of this hotel. There is a large carpark at the front and beautiful large hanging baskets and flowers decorate the front of the hotel. …

We stayed three nights at the Ashmount and the first thing that struck us was how clean the place is. Our room was immaculate and the whole place had a clean feel to it. Yes, the decor is a bit dated but we felt this added to its charm. …

Excellent, Judith had a very warm welcome, and informed us about everything and showed us to our rooms, which were immaculately clean and nicely furnish. We had two family rooms and both were very good. We had our son and his wife and their two children who loved the bunk beds, and also our other granddaughter who had a single bed in with us. We all had a great night's sleep. We also chose to have breakfast, which again was excellent, and there was a good choice. Judith and Peter were very accommodating especially with our grandchildren who are 2 10yr olds and a 4 yr old. Thank you both. We would highly recommended it if staying in or around the area.

Judith met us with a very warm welcome and told us about the hotel. She was very informative. We stayed here with our son, his wife and three of our grandchildren. Our son had a family room, which was excellent, a double with bunk beds. We had a double with a single bed, all with ensuit. The hotel was immaculately clean. We had breakfast the next morning which was excellent, plenty choice, cereal and fresh fruit and a cooked breakfast of your choice, Julie and her husband, who was the chef could n't do enough for us. They looked after us all especially the children, who had bacon butties after there cereal and also enjoyed the apple drink with breakfast. I would recommend it to anyone, young or old.

Stayed there a while ago on a visit, we had the family room, 2 adults and 3 kids, were very accommodating to our needs and managed to get a cot set up in the room so we didn't have to split the family up. Breakfast was great, cooked to order, the main 'family room' was good too, with the usual games and cards, TV etc, so we didn't have to be in our room in the evening. Close to the seas side and a lovely couple who run the hotel.

Lovely place to stay. Room was clean and tidy with a nice size bathroom. Bed comfy and plenty of tea and coffee. I asked for off road parking as I explained that were on a trike motorcycle and did not want to park it on the street. Fair play they kept a space for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Great breakfast each morning freshly cooked to order and plenty of selection. Would highly recommend this hotel to others. Thanks for your hospitality. Will be returning in the near future.
