Just returned from a 3 night weekend stay at Woodlands Hall (3 adults & a toddler). Caravan was clean & comfortable. Location quiet but short drive to all local sights. Special shout out to Will & Sam from the club. Will went out of his way both nights to make sure we had a lovely time, recommending places to visit & hosting a great Halloween party for kids & adults. My little girl loved it. Overall great weekend, would recommend. See you next time!

Terrible Experience - Do Not RecommendWe had high hopes for our stay at Lyons Woodlands Hall but unfortunately, it turned into a huge disappointment. From the moment we arrived, things started off badly. After waiting at the bar area for 20 minutes with two children, we decided to explore only to find all the staff lounging on couches in what turned out to be the reception area. Extremely unprofessional and a poor first impression. When we finally got to our caravan, we were looking forward to using the hot tub, a major reason for choosing this accommodation. However, the water was green, and the filter was broken. Over the next couple of days, my partner, daughter, and I all developed skin rashes, likely due to the contaminated water. The hot tub quickly became unusable as the water turned even greener, robbing us of the main feature we had looked forward to.The sauna was also advertised as available, but was actually under development. This was misleading, as it was still listed on maps as a feature, adding to our frustration.Another major letdown was the lack of evening entertainment. We were under the impression there would be activities like karaoke, bingo, and live performances. However, these were only available on weekends, leaving us with no options for evening activities from Monday to Friday. On top of that, our experience at the bar was equally poor. We returned for a second visit only to find, once again, that there were no staff present to serve us. To make matters worse, the on-site restaurant didn’t cater to children with dietary needs, rendering it completely unusable for our family. The cumulative effect of these issues — from poor service to non-functional amenities — ruined what should have been a relaxing holiday. We even left a day early due to the lack of staff on site. We had to leave our keys on a computer keyboard because there was no one at reception or the bar to check us out.Overall, we were extremely dissatisfied with our stay and will not be returning. Lyons Holiday Park needs to address these serious issues before advertising itself as a family-friendly destination.Further to add upon receiving my feedback in an email complaint, I got confirmation that the maps this site are using are incorrect and the hot tub engineer was on 2 weeks leave during the period of our staff.....Disgusting to say the least.Avoid if you want a stress-free holiday!

Really disappointed with the cleanliness of the caravan we were assigned. Number 32. We booked a budget van, so didn't expect much facilities wise, but we did expect it to be clean. …

Site was clean and tidy. Not much to do really for the children. Went in the hotel for breakfast which wasn't to bad when it came. Seems to be a terrible manager in place tbh. The staff were run ragged and tried their best to deliver a good service. Went for breakfast Sunday and no bread was available for the toast. Went again on Monday and again a really bad service due to staff shortages. All the issues mentioned are just down to bad management of the staff of lack of staff should I say.

Lovely clean, quiet caravan park. Staff are lovely, and the housekeeping team does a great job. Caravans are brilliant, well equipped, and comfortable. Seems based more on owners of the caravans. There was not a lot going on when we visited at the end of May. You definitely need a car as there is not a lot round within walking distance. Even public footpaths just outside the park are closed or gated off. Make sure you bring everything you'll need as there isn't a shop on site. Just in the middle of building a swimming pool. It's definitely a park to come and chill. The nearest town is 8 min drive away but all down country roads. Perfect to use as a base if you want to be driving around all holiday.
