After reading several reviews about The New Inn , we decided to try it out for ourselves. We are so pleased that we did, the Sunday roast is absolutely delicious. We ordered the 3 courses, which was excellent value and had a good choice of options on offer. The place was extremely busy with diners and it was very easy to understand why, despite this, the service was very quick and the staff were lovely and friendly. They very kindly boxed my dessert up for me to take away as I couldn’t manage to eat it, the portion sizes were very generous indeed. We will definitely be visiting again, and will be highly recommending it to family and friends alike.

Ordered a 3 course sunday roast. After 2 hours we were still waiting for the dessert. We ended up leaving without getting it. We seen people coming in after us and getting their food before us.

Went to The New Inn while on holiday from Nottinghamshire at Abbey farm camp site, our first visit was on a Sunday afternoon so we ordered the Sunday lunch for the 3 of us, (2 lamb shanks & hand carved ham) it was delicious, enjoyed everything on the plate, would have eaten it again but couldn't because I was absolutely stuffed. 11/10We enjoyed it so much we went back on the Wednesday evening for tea so we ordered from the normal menu (fish & chips, hunters chicken, chicken sizzler) both my husband and son said the chips were rock hard , chicken was really dry, fish was dry too. I had the chicken sizzler, to be served on a hot skillet, there was nothing sizzling about it, it was hard lumps of chicken in a sloppy sauce with sloppy onions and disintegrated peppers, it looked more like a sloppy chicken stew, the 2 wraps were solid and the rice was hard and cold. All 3 meals were awful and the only reason we didn't complain was because we felt bad putting the barman who served us in a awkward position, he was really nice and was running about trying to serve at the bar, take food orders, bring cutlery, condiments and food out to the beer garden and clean tables in both the bar and out in the beer garden because he was the only one working . We found a bin a scrapped our food into that to avoid causing him even more work as he was rushed off his feet. 2/10On the Sunday lunch I would have recommended The New Inn 100% but on the weekday evening meal I would NOT recommend it, it's a shame because we thought we had found a little gem of a place for us to use while staying here. Unfortunately we won't be going back.

I frequently visit Rhuddlan and overall The New Inn is my favorite pub in the village to pop in for a pint. I typically go in the late afternoon so there is always plenty of places to sit inside. The outside pods are great too and I love that they have heaters and doors making them usable even when the weather isn’t great. One minor disappointment (and this is probably a reflection of local tastes) is the lack of cask ales on offer. There is only one hand pump at the bar and a couple of times I’ve been there they were out of that offering, not a huge deal plenty of lagers to make up for it.I removed one star because you have to walk through the partially enclosed smoking area to get to the outside seating area, it’s not nice if there are a few smokers out there. Come on New Inn it’s 2024 and most people don’t smoke these days and don’t want to inhale others second hand smoke.

Never again. We booked for a fathers Day meal and liked the look of the menu. We arrived and went to our table as we were shown at the bar. As all our table arrived, we ordered our food. Staff weren't very knowledgeable and were told we could only have 2 courses. we then asked, but the menu says we can have 3. The young lady replied, "Oh yes, you can." We ordered Starters and we wanted to order 2 kids starters. we were told well kids don't need starters, wow really is this how you treat customers with children?" Our children wanted starters, so we asked if we could have cheesy garlic bread, which looked like a struggle with the staff response. We were checked on waiting for our food to arrive. Staff member said everything ok with your food, and we hadn't even had anything yet.Food came in drips and droves not together 5-10 mins at a time. We were then told we all needed to be out at a certain time as they needed the table fine, but we hadn't even had our main course. We then had to wait for our main course roast dinners again 5-10 mins wait for everyone to get the food. I couldn't fault the food tbh was lovely but we skipped the deserts as we didn't want to wait anymore, and we were put off with the way we were treated. We noticed all the staff were very young and didn't look like a manager was in sight bit of a free for all really. It's a shame because it could really be perfect with customer service training and a bit of attention here and there. Also seems the pub takes delivery orders as well but I would recommend you also look after your customers that are at the establishment first.
