Good traditional pub food, great service and made to feel welcome (unlike other contributors comments but then I'm a chatter) Varied menu pie, fish, steak etc. …

Traditional meal in a pleasant surrounding. Can eat in or outside. The menu is traditional and we had the ocean pie which was full of fish and tasty, we enjoyed it so much we went back the next night and had Wholemeal Whitby Scampi which was delicious. Service, locals use this pub which I always think bodes well. The staff though busy had time for us. Other diners were very pleasant and chatty too. Our well behaved dog was welcome in the back bar as it was raining outside. Would recommend.

Fabulous place. Staff were amazingly helpful with luggage etc. Much appreciated as I struggle with mobility. Breakfast choices were extensive and the Croissant was a bonus. Great live singer in the evening and meals were so tasty. Hope to stay again.

Couldn't comment on rooms as wasn't staying. Called for a meal and was given one in family room. Oh dear!! Whilst I'm all for families being welcome in bars/pubs etc I'm not all for six children being left to their own devices whilst parents enjoy their time dining in the bar. Children unsupervised running round in and out whilst staff were trying to serve hot food etc. On a more positive note the food was absolutely 'spot on'! Service was great and staff couldn't do enough. We will be returning but not to the family room.

A small group of us came across this place whilst camping locally and we stopped for a few drinks. Arranged for over 30 of us to come back the next day for food. As it was a Sunday they only had the Carvery on the menu but it was fantastic! Well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Thanks very much for the great food and great service.

Lovely food and friendly service. The restaurant looks really nice.Dog friendly outside but only in the small bar at the back if you are eating inside. This is not ideal with young children in the evening as it was a bit noisy and more of a drinking area than dining.Still, we would definitely go again

5 of us popped in for a meal on a bank holiday Monday. The place was busy, service was still good , food was well prepared and a fair price. Atmosphere was good. The place was clean and tidy . Plenty of parking spaces. Wheelchair friendly if needed.Would recommend and will revisit when we're next in the area.

We didn't eat, just a couple of drinks in the large beer garden which was really nice on a summers day. Decent range of beers on offer. Only downside was the young man who served us was miserable, with no customer service at all. The young girl who served us the second time was much more pleasant.
