Only main bug for me is the squeaky floor in the room. Also not sure why we have to pay £9 per dog? You don’t actually get anything like a dog bed, towel or even a water bowl. Other than that it was big enough room for us and our dog.Would definitely visit again.

Rooms are somewhat clean, we arrived and beds weren't made and had to argue for 24hrs just to get some fresh bedding on the beds, shower in our friends room doesn't work, very limited parking, very basic breakfast, rooms in poor repair and wouldn't recommend staying here. No card machine at the bar so getting drinks was a palava. However the receptionist Libby was fantastic polite and couldn't try and do enough.

Very dated think our double room use to be a cupboard was very small. Bathroom needs a lot of work to be a good standard. Bedroom lock had screws missing, very loose and kept locking us in the room. Was clean but dated whole place needs a refurbishment.

The hotel is closing down for refurbishment soon which it is badly in need of. The room we had was huge with a fantastic sea view. The double bed was broken as was the shower holder. Overall the room was clean. I can understand them not spending money on it when it is closing & the cost reflected this. Hopefully the refurbishment is done to a good standard as the hotel is in a great location & would definitely stay here again once it reopens.

We have just returned from a 2 night break at the Whitehouse Hotel. We asked for a room with a sea view and we got it, the view and location of this hotel is fantastic! Yes, it is a budget hotel but the beds were comfy, it was clean and warm. There is a bar with a pool table that we used and drinks were very reasonably priced. The hotel is also dog friendly which was great. We booked breakfast for £7.50 on the first morning, we had juice and fruit, followed by a full english breakfast, plenty of toast, butter, jams etc, washed down with fresh coffee. The eggs were massively overcooked and kept warm but the rest of the breakfast was good, although you can get cheaper breakfasts in town. The owner was very accommodating and chatty when we were playing pool in the bar and also very helpful when we had a problem with our shower on the fist morning, it was quickly resolved.Overall, if you want a budget hotel in a fab location I would recommend it but don't expect luxury for budget prices! We would certainly return.

Horrendous hotel. We booked for its location and sea view. Upon arrival we saw the poor condition from outside whilst waiting to check in, so we took a look at some reviews in detail and were horrified. Check in was good and receptionist pleasant, but that's where it ended. The room was old and poorly maintained. The bathroom was horrific. Mould around the bath. Mould growing on the inside of the shower curtain. We did not use the shower as it looked a health hazard. The sea view would have been good but could hardly see out of the window for the muck on the outside. The balcony door had screws sticking out of it, when opened we saw exposed cables outside. The other balconies looked like they had junkies sleeping on them. Discarded beer cans, clothing, lighters etc. Horrific! The room door had a large gap under it, we had to put a towel along it to cut out the light from the corridor at night. The room sink (not sink in the bathroom) had a tap that would hardly turn off. The hotel lobby stunk of smoke. We decided to have a drink one night, we sat outside the front doors and as well as being smoked out by the smokers, we were horrified by the insects (woodlice) crawling all over the walls. A lot have complained about this hotel previously and despite their apologies, nothing had been done to improve the conditions. We tried booking an alternative hotel and nothing was available, or else we would have left immediately upon checking in. We will be seeking a refund from Expedia.

This place is in terrible need of renovation, and not in the sense that it's quaint and characterful. It's just rundown and sloppy. The toilet door in our room was hung on a frame too large for it so it wouldn't close. There's wires hanging out of the walls in the stairwells. The floors all creak and the doors cant be closed unless you put your shoulder in to them. We had booked on a Saturday night so it wasn't even cheap. Dogs appeared to be left in rooms and were barking intermittently. There was also a guy who may or may not have been on drugs, wandering the corridors and knocking on doors in the early hours of the morning. Not a good nights sleep and could not recommend. The only positive was the location but wish I'd slept in the car and not wasted my money.

Booked 1 night in this hotel on the 24th july this year and was immediately disgusted at the room provided to us. Chairs were holding doors open, there were holes in the walls and the whole 2 rooms were very dirty and filthy. I took many pictures to prove how dirty the rooms were. On top of this, the bathroom was in a terrible state, there were big holes in the walls and mould everywhere. To add to all of this, the manager had a creepy attitude, first knocking on the door to our room and disappearing before we had a chance to open it then rang us to say he had "upgraded" us to a triple room however it was clearly the worst room in the place. The manager had a very agressive and sarcastic tone and we left the hotel without receiving any kind of refund after the manager refused us another room. We then had to book another one and spend double money on another one. Avoid unless you want mould and dirty carpets!!

Well where do I begin, the room was unhygienic, the service was dismal, we were over charged by a staff member, we asked for clean bedding and towels 3 days in and never received. We discovered that the matruss protector was covered in some ones blood and informed owner. One of the staff members was drunk 24/7. And so much more!! the only positive was the view. Owner could be quite rude at times. Also the water smelled like rotten eggs and made my wife and I very sick for 3 days the place shouldn't be running!!! NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN WASTE OF MONEY AND HEALTH!!!
