Absolute belter of a location. The staff were brilliant, nothing was too much for them , and the manageress, who came and fixed our television on what I think was her day off.Cannot speak highly enough of the main meals and the breakfasts, it's obvious the chef knows his onions .The only minus point would be that the stairs area from the top floor down could do with a good lick of paint.Would definitely come here again if the standard was as high as it is now .

Called in here on our way home after a long weekend away at a festival in Wales and were warmly welcomed by the cheery young staff! …

We love this establishment and booked for our first anniversary weekend. It was incredibly kind of them to order in glorious sunshine as we arrived on Saturday, which makes the always incredibly view simply sublime. …

Great stay! What a fab find, very reasonably priced, lovely newly refurbished, clean rooms and the staff were very friendly. We had breakfast each morning and were glad we booked direct through their own website. Price of the drinks were very reasonable and the food in the restaurant was excellent, wouldn't stay anywhere else and will definitely come back.

Really nice place to stay. A warm friendly welcome on arrival and a well stocked bar. The room was really nice with tasteful decor. The one improvement I think is really quite necessary is the shower pressure. It was genuinely a struggle to get clean the pressure was so low.The breakfast was wonderful with beautiful views out onto the water. Really top notch food with friendly service. All in all I would be reluctant to stay for a full week due to the shower. I would stay for a night or two again though.

Absolutely stunning setting on the Menai Straits, looking across to Snowdonia Nation Park! Everything about The Gazelle was outstanding from the moment we stepped inside. …

Our room reeked of sewage. Members of staff told us it’s something that happens from ‘time to time’ and blamed it on general problems in the area. But it only stunk in the Annex and nowhere else. …

Best location, on the edge of the Straits at the level of the slipway . Old well kept pub with rooms overlooking the water and Bangor Pier. Good food served indoors and out by efficient and willing staff.

This is the second time that we have stayed at the hotel. The location is great with views across the Straits, towards Bangor Pier and Snowdonia. We have been in the annexe and pub. …

Booked for a meal at 18.30 didn't get it until nearly 20.00. Way too slow. Shan't be going back in a hurry. Had a much better experience at the Ship at Red Wharf Bay.
