This is a place which is definitely "on the up" with refurbishments underway to bring it up to scratch throughout.||There's a great atmosphere, which clearly comes from the welcoming and friendly staff. …

A warm welcome awaits from the staff of this pub. They recently started doing breakfasts for non guests and it was great. It is a small but uncomplicated|menu that offers great value. …

Five of us popped in for breakfasts, and we weren't disappointed. So good to see the pub getting extra use in the morning. They do breakfast from 9.30-12.30.Staff are really friendly. Food was nice. Picture speaks for itself, this is the small option, and there is a bigger option available if you're hungry enough!

I am posting this review, having stayed a month ago. When you arrive there is no guest parking so don't arrive when the pub is busy. To check in, you need to go to the bar, which you need to figure out yourself as it's not a sign. There, you are met by apathetic bar staff who don't want to greet you and are more interested in gossiping. You pay up front for the room, at which point I asked for an invoice, which was not prepared for check out. After 9 requests, including calls and emails, I am still waiting for the invoice and only have a list of excuses as to why I don't have one. This means posting this review will personally cost me £95 as I am sure I will not get one, and I won't be able to claim the business expenses. The organisation for guests is a mess, and the customer service is below par, to say the least. Faulty towers is my best description for this place. Avoid at all costs as a place to stay. They say one thing and do another. I am putting this up 2 days after being promised a call back, and I am still waiting.

We arrived here on Friday for our anniversary as we were here 4 years ago for our honeymoon. When we arrived we had the most welcoming greeting!! We checked in, went straight to our room left our suitcase and went straight back down to the pub to get a pint. The room was absolutely spotless, very big had everything we needed and more!!! We ordered our pints and headed straight to the beautiful beer garden. The garden is a perfect sun trap for me and had plenty of shade for my husband. We spent hours in there chatting to the lovely locals. The bar staff are so helpful, friendly and absolute grafters!!! When it got a bit chilly we put the outdoor heater on which every table has. The furniture is not your usual rickety old garden benches but lovely, chunky and very comfortable wooden garden furniture. We met the owner who very kindly and much to my delight gave me a Wrexham lager glass to take home!! In the morning we headed down for breakfast we again had the most welcoming greeting and was shown to our table. Man what a breakfast!!! Perfect portion size, so very tasty and set us up nicely for the day!! There was plenty of tea, coffee, orange juice, fruit and yogurts you just helped yourself to. We then chatted to one of the young ladies who works there and she helped us with our travel plans for getting to Llandudno for the day. This place is the perfect location and base for travelling to all parts of wales as it is less than a 10 minute walk to the train station and bus station. Every morning we saw the house keepers who were working so busy but they always took the time to say Good Morning and they hoped we had a lovely day!! On our last night we met the owner again who very kindly and much to my delight gifted me with a Wrexham Lager beer towel (I am a massive Ryan Reynolds fan and collect anything Wrexham, don’t worry my husband thinks I am a weirdo too 😆) We cannot recommend this gem of a place enough!!!
