I haven't stayed in a Travelodge for a while, and am not sure I will do so again. It was always basic, now it's VERY basic. The utilitarian carpet and decor of the hallways continues into the bedrooms. …

Caernarfon Travelodge has everything we needed for our short stay. For these very competitive prices, you really don’t get any better than this. …

The room was clean and reasonably priced. There was plenty of tea and coffee and we could replenish it ourselves. The area is quiet. The staff were brilliant. Informal checking in and out process

Standard Travelodge in a good location, with great service and parking just two minutes walk away (long stay car park and around £5 for 24 hours.)Room was clean and tidy but as seems usual with Travelodge's these days, the shower in the bathroom was woefully crap with very low flow so it takes three times as long to shower as it should. As I like a shower I can only give this three stars even though everything else was fine.

Good location in the centre of the town, however we had a terrible nights sleep. The patio door in our room (211) wouldn't lock or close and the storm kept pushing it back open. …

The hotel is warm and cheap. That's got the positives out of the way so let's move on. It must be hard to construct a hotel so devoid of character and charm. Access is on foot from a nearby car park and then a lift up to reception.  …

Stayed here for one night this weekend. Had no issues with the parking being off site - it’s literally a 5 minute walk. The doors were locked when we arrived (it was after 11pm as we’d had a very long drive and bad traffic conditions). Buzzed the buzzed several times with no response and no other way to gain entry. We noticed an unofficial looking mobile number stuck on the inside of the glass so tried that and a member of staff answered and aoplogised for our wait. He made his way back to reception and buzzed us in straight away. He was very pleasant. Our room (214) was on the second floor. As soon as we opened the door we noticed the window had been left wide open, and then the reason why hit us. The room stank of wet dog! Everything seemed reasonably clean and tidy other than that. The bedding was clean although the bath was a little stained and so were the towels which was a bit off-putting. There was only one double power socket nowhere near the bed. We should have asked to change room but were so shattered that we just put up with it and we were gone by 8:30 the next morning. I’ve since learned that Travel Lodge ‘welcome dogs’ which is all very well, but you should really not allow rooms to be used by newcomers at the cost of £106 per night, knowing full well that the doggy stink is unacceptable and just leaving the window casually open!

Well perhaps it is a budget hotel but only if you book when rooms are cheap because we booked for extortion amount of money 135£ and we had to pay because there was nothing for less money somehow. When we got here hotel felt not busy at all and the room should cost us 40£ maxVery basic indeed and no hair dryerInternet not free, only first 30 minutes you get free, but what is 30 minutes these days? After that you have to pay, pretty bad...Location of this hotel is good not far from the castle...Towels have this old trucker stop smell to it, like a sweaty vinegary smell as they weren't washed in high temperature, probably to costs cutting, so you get a sweaty but somehow "fresh" towels...Would visit again if room was for 30£ not more, not worth much more than that....

Just stayed overnight to be handy for the ferry. Don't get the breakfast to go it's like a picnic breakfast. There is a table table restaurant just around the corner which does all you can eat breakfast .Not from the hotel but from the grounds lovely views of the marina.

No parking on site car park over road (back of morrisons) £5.50 for 24 hours. Room was basic shower was poor but did the job. Only 30 min free WiFi had to pay extra for Internet which is a rip off considering we paid £150 for 2 nites! Short walk into town centre/castle.
