Visited on Saturday. 10th August at about 5pm. Very busy place in a prime location in Barmouth. Ordered at the bar. Plenty of choices so suit everyone. We were a group of 7 friends celebrating a special birthday. …

We had a few (reasonably priced) drinks on a couple of occasions in this pub when we were on holiday in Barmouth & they even had a game of bingo & karaoke on a Sunday evening. It served meals, but we didn't get a chance to try the food.It had a friendly atmosphere & the staff were pleasant. We didn't stay in the hotel, though.

Food was delicious. Beer was cold and nice. The burgundy haired woman behind the bar was rude and abrupt. Worth eating but customer service from bar disgusting. Wait on staff lovely. Over all really nice don’t expect a smile at the bar. Over all pretty good

We stayed here for one night while visiting Barmouth, clean room and en-suite, bed was comfortable with nice linen so had good nights sleep. We had a meal in the evening, a lamb burger and a vegan shepherds pie, both were delicious and good size portions. Both had fried breakfast next morning again very nice food items and good portion size also cereal, fruit juice, toast, tea and coffee. Friendly staff and perfect central location, would come back again. Would have liked breakfast served a bit earlier but worked out fine as ended up having a longer lie in in the morning.

Nice enough pub in a good central location. It's a good pint here and the staff are friendly. We didn't eat so can't comment on the food here.

After agreeing to meet some friends in this pub whilst we were outside the local chip shop with my 3 year old daughter who was eating her portion of chicken nuggets and chips - It began raining really heavy so we took the remains in to the pub with us. Neither the adults or my 2 11 yr old lads had food, only my 3 year old. We were treated as though we had just robbed the pub and asked to leave after a staff member saw the chippy tray (she was not even eating them at this point and the lid was shut) we said it was just for the 3 year old but was made to feel awkward in front of all the customers and friends in a rude manner by the staff. We left and went back to our campsite

Dropped in yesterday for a quick drink and ended up staying for food and had the best Vegan shepherds pie in the world. Loads of veggie options and so nice to find somewhere that has more than the standard risotto and bean burger PLUS it's homemade! Fantastic enclosed beer garden, perfect for the dog. Very friendly staff and locals

First time here but when we arrived , we went up to our room with a lady from behind the bar to show us the way but the room wasn't ready and hadn't been cleaned . We were asked if it was OK to go back to the bar downstairs and they will get it sorted. I'm told the lady was called Danni ?This lady was fantastic 👏 a real gem and an asset to this hotel , she sorted everything and the pub was really busy , she managed to get away from the bar eventually and actually cleaned the room herself which was beautifully done , everything smelt fresh and clean, plenty of towels and room facilities, tea , coffee etc and water bottles , she even got us a free lunch and some drinks! She and the hotel get a 10 out of 10 from us !! Exceptional serviceWe were made very welcome and we spent the rest of the afternoon in the bar with the very friendly locals, great pub by the wayI see on some reviews people moaning about music and church bells can be heard......well this is called life !!....get over it !!!Brilliant place to stay ,lovely food and breakfast was excellent, really niceCan't say enough really , yes the rooms are a little dated but bedding, towels all new and clean , ...Great Hotel and thanks Danni 😊 🙏 (Dark haired barmaid) you were fantastic and because of you we will come again
