The Dalmore offered me complete independence in my check in and check out. A bond of trust was given between text messages and I did my best to hold my end of the bargain up. For it was a bargain for the three guest size room for four nights at the price it is. At the moment with the fringe in full flow it's very understandable prices have to go up but the Dalmore made a few compromises within its own scheduling to keep prices close to competing with a premier Inn with a lot more individuality. My only reserve is for the shower. Badly designed it flows into the hotel room if unattended. Luckily I was on hand with some towels. The only problem though.Teas and coffees on as standard and a lovely bit of TV from Freeview. The bed was more than comfortable. I nearly missed my departure time. All in all I could have been my fault about the shower and I'm not sure if it's a usual thing with hotel rooms so bear with it and your stay is going to be of your own business and freedom of movement.

This was my first visit to Dalmore Lodge and I was very pleased. Iain and Dot are lovely and friendly hosts. Even though I was a solo traveler, my room had a double and a single bed and was very comfortable. …

What a lovely Guest House. Our stay was great, as the rooms was lovely and gives you that home away from home feeling. It is good value for money and the personalised service provided by the owner is second to none. The breakfast is also lovely and great value for money. If you looking for a quiet place to stay, this is definitely worth a try.

We stayed here for 2 nights in June, and we wish we could have stayed longer. Ian and Dot are the most wonderful hosts! We had great conversations and they made some excellent local recommendations. They have an amazing place and take great care of their guests. It's directly across from the zoo, close to town and the airport (about 10 minutes from each). The delicious breakfast provided is served in a gorgeous room and made us feel special just being in there. This really was an beautiful B&B, the room was very comfortable, and extremely clean. The interior design and attention to detail is too fabulous to describe and the beds were huge and very comfortable. They could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Dalmore Lodge turned out to be a wonderful place for us to start our holiday in Scotland! The room is bright and cheery and CLEAN! The location is incredibly accessible by bus and car. The breakfasts are made to order and really tasty. Iain and Dot were both completely available to chat or answer questions. I am looking forward to returning not only to Edinburgh, but specifically to Dalmore Lodge.

I stayed at Dalmore Lodge for 4 nights with my Sister & Brother In Law. Iain & Dot are brilliant hosts. Warm, friendly & welcoming & always pleased to offer advice on the best places to see & eat ect,or just have a chat in general. We couldn't fault our rooms, they were clean, bright & well decorated, with comfortable beds. The Breakfast is amazing & looked forward to it every morning of our stay. The location is excellent right opposite Edinburgh Zoo which I took great advantage of. The shops are a short walk away about 10-15 minutes there is also plenty of places to eat there as well. If you want to go into Edinburgh City Centre it couldn't be simpler the bus stops are right outside & the buses run frequently. I will definately be making Dalmore Lodge my place to stay when in Edinburgh. Thanks again for a wonderful Holiday, the 3 of us can't thank you enough.
