Rooms were clean and spacious. Appreciated the complimentary snacks and beverages available to everyone staying at the guest house. The shared living room area was very nice with comfortable couches and tables to relax at. Several good restaurants within walking distance. Bus station to downtown was convenient and close to the guest house. The host was very friendly and took the time to chat with us. Definitely recommend staying here on your visit to Edinburgh.

If you don't mind using public transport and walking a bit, this guest house is great. Communication with the owner from the US via email was fast and easy. Snacks were a pleasant surprise. Only complaints was that the bed pillows were too soft, but I say that about many places. The extra large bath towels made up for it!

Our room was very spacious as well as the bathroom. Both my sister any I took advantage of the tub, for a warm soak. The sitting room stocked with beverages and snacks was wonderful. The only downside is it's location from the Royal Mile, it is a bit far, and we ended up calling for a taxi to get to and from St. Georges square, and the Royal Mile.

Nice little place out of the chaos of the Royal Mile madness. Only a block away from bus lines which made it easy to get to the places we wanted to visit. We stayed in the Rankin room which is large and comfortable. Snacks and coffee are available in the family room which was an added bonus. My only issue which was the lack a shelf or any place to put our shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash and other shower toiletries in the shower. This seems to be a recurring theme all over GB with our stays.I would definitely recommend staying here.

A charming guesthouse in a calm neighborhood. I wish the experience were more like it seems to have used to be, with breakfasts and host interactions, but other than that, it’s a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, and there is a well-equipped common area (coffee, games, snacks). The neighborhood is well connected to the city center and the local mall, except for a road closure in September 2024.

We booked 3 rooms during Fringe Festival 2024 and couldn't have asked for a better stay! Convenient location near bus stop or 1 mile walk to the main action of the town. Quiet neighborhood. Every room was very clean and spacious. The common area was cozy and very welcoming to relax after a busy day of walking. The complimentary snacks were our favorite part!

This is a nice facility, comfortable beds and a location that offers easy access to the bus line to new and old Edinburgh. They no longer serve breakfast, but do provide quick snacks every morning and a list of local and walkable alternatives. We’d stay here again!
