On arrival it was a bit chaotic, but the rooms were nice and quite spacious. The location is perfect as there is a bus stop on both sides of the road and bus tickets can be bought on the bus. The beds weren't too good and the shower took a long time to get hot, but all in all it was a great stay and would suggest visiting this guest house!

Highly recommended if you just want a room. Spotless and attractively decorated. Very comfy beds and good shower. Nice garden view from downstairs family room. …

Absolutely recommend! We couldn't have imagined a better stay in Edinburgh. Both Kenan Bey (hotel owner) and his family were so welcoming, helpful, and kind, and we feel that we have met a family friend for life :). The room we booked even had an extra bed and armchairs, and a very nice classic Edinburgh view with stone Victorian houses. Will definitely come back for a longer visit <3There is nothing we didn't like - for some, the 20 min walk to the City Centre might be an issue but for my family, it wasn't an issue at all as we planned to discover different parts of the city by walk anyway :)

The hotel is so well looked after, the rooms have such a cosy feel to them and are very clean and tidy. It’s a really beautiful place. The guests are also really well looked after - I couldn’t have asked for more friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Very happy and would 10/10 recommend.

My Wife and I visited Edinburgh 37 for a short break, and so glad we did. The property itself is so inviting from the outside, and once inside, beautifully decorated and welcoming. We stayed in Room 9, which is street level, at the back, and we had a wonderful view of "Arthur's Seat". The room itself was very tasteful, decor wise, flat screen TV, black out shutters, comfortable bed and bedding and a stunning bathroom. Service tray with a selection of teas, coffee, biscuits etc. Powerful shower and hot water. Breakfast excellent, cooked and served by the delightful Denise. The Proprietors, Kenan and Marie, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, and they were always on hand. Mayfield Gardens is on the bus route for the Link 300 for the airport. The bus service is excellent and takes you straight into The Royal Mile, numbers 8, 33 and 29 are the buses we used. Two stops practically outside the hotel. In the nicer weather it would be a lovely walk into Edinburgh itself. Would thoroughly recommend Edinburgh 37, excellent.

Lovely big room, comfy bed and plenty of on street parking in the area. Bathroom was adequate, although there was no hand soap (strange considering current COVID situation). I had paid for breakfast but there was no-one around in the morning to advise what the set up was or any signs. Left having not had anything to eat.

It is a beautiful building and the room was very satisfactory but I found the climb to the second floor a bit much as I had sciatica, but that is hardly their fault! Breakfast was good value and served with a smile. The photo is the view from the room, so it shows the buildings opposite.

We stayed here for one night, there is so much character to the building. The owner was very hospitable, he made time to help us with our on going itrinary and made us an incredible breakfast. All this even though he had a staff members off sick.Definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in Edinburgh.

Hosts are very friendly but the place itself has room for improvement on to be four stars or higher. Unfortunately the beds were two singles joined up, not a double. The sinks are a bit slow to drain water and it can be a little noisy at times. All of which can be sorted with relative ease as the foundations are all there
