We really enjoyed our one-night stay at Emmaus Guest House. We arrived a bit earlier than expected and had to wait 15 minutes or so in the beautiful living room for our room to be ready, and were given a hot mince pie and mulled wine which …

Two nights in the brilliantly-positioned Emmaus Guesthouse, just 5 mins walk from the west end of Princes Street, and 15 from Haymarket Station. Arrangements for entry were clear (for a post-4pm arrival). It was as easy as pie! …

Incredibly helpful, friendly staff. Large, clean, well heated rooms (visited during Hogmanay). Wide range of items for breakfast each morning. Accommodated glutton free request. Cozy lounge on first floor to relax. Neighborhood has a strong collection of restaurants in particular Asian options (Thai, Indian and Korean) plus pubs and coffee/sandwich shops. Nearby supermarket. Kings Theatre down the street. A bit of a walk to main Edinburgh tourist areas but not too far. Also a huge park less than 8 minute walk from B&B. No elevator but staff will help carry luggage to your room. Enjoyed meeting other travelers from UK at breakfast. Family friendly.

Nice guest house in ~20min brisk walk to all of the key locations in Edinburgh. The house is quite old and too be expected squeaks a good bit. The road it is off of is quite by city standards which is nice as well. The breakfast left some to be desired, but the fresh cut up fruit was a nice addition to the limited spread. The owners were very friendly as well.

Fabulous location, cracking staff, room was great and facilities ticked all boxes. I stayed there long-term as I was between flats and never had a single issue with the place. I would recommend to anyone and if I'm ever looking for accommodation in Edinburgh again I would choose Emmaus Guest House. 5/5 (or 10/10).

Very nice B&B, the staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was very comfortable we really appreciated the wooden shutters for the window so the room stayed dark in the morning. Enjoyed breakfast , Close to many good restaurants about 15 min walk to the grass market. We walked back from the grass market area after midnight and felt very safe. A great value for the money.

We stayed at Emmaus Guesthouse for 3 nights. Room was big and clean. Beds are comfy and breakfast good. We were allowed to keep our luggages til our flight so we didn't have to carry them all day. Very friendly and warm people.

Brilliant welcome and very attentive service; wonderfully friendly. I love the communal breakfast table for the conversation -an important source of information sometimes about things to do or see. The rooms are well appointed and there is access to a lounge. This is a B&B with an emphasis on community -a welcome difference to the average guest house and one which is sustained by the hospitable disposition of Janet and Andrew. The city centre is only 15 minutes walk away and one of the routes in is through a rather splendid park behind the Quatermile district and ending up at the University. Also there are bus stops nearby with several bus routes and some nice eateries nearby.I also appreciated the opportunity to join the hosts and other guests for morning and/or night prayer. The spirituality of the establishment is real but not obtrusive or cloying. Very welcome.
