We stayed here for five nights in early July 2024, and it was an amazing stay! Neil and Lesley were very welcoming and accomodating, despite the mistake we made during booking (we entered one guest instead of two). Location was great, with a bus stop with frequent departures to the city centre just outside the door. Room was clean and spacious. The breakfasts were amazing and a real highlight of our visit in Edinburgh. Great taste, varied, and with a menu including daily specials even when there were no guests other than us. If we ever go to Edinburgh again there's no doubt where we'll look for accomodation.

So glad we booked with Lesley & Neil. The room was comfortable and very clean. Superb breakfast cooked by Lesley and attentive Neil keeping everyone happy in the breakfast room. We really enjoyed our stay Brae Lodge.It certainly warranted its star rating.The owners, Neil and Lesley,were a delightful couple always cheerful and helpful.They went out of their way to advise us about the environs around their Guest House and its proximity to Edinburgh.We had room 6 on the ground floor with was comfortable and with all that one needs during a stay there including home made biscuits with the tea/ coffee.The fantastic home made breakfasts were of a very high standard with different specialties every day all home made by Lesley using local sources.With just 3 rooms car parking on site was always available which was a bonus.( on street parking is also nearby should it be needed.)The location in a nice area was also helped by a local bus stop a short walk away with direct bus services into the City.We would highly recommend Brae Lodge.Thank you both.Liz and Howard.

We have stayed regularly over the past 15 years as recently as last week, and just love coming back. You couldn't get a better warm Scottish welcome. The rooms are clean, well furnished and comfortable. The food is excellent as Lesley is a superb caterer. Its proximity to the centre of Edinburgh makes it an ideal place to stay. We always feel very welcome as Neil and Lesley are so friendly and helpful. We have brought family members too over the years who all feel the same about Brae Lodge. Highly recommended!

My daughter and I stayed with Lesley and Neil for 4 nights in early April. We had the most amazing time and they were both so friendly and really funny!!. Little extras like home made bread and shortbread and Lesley kindly provided gluten free bread and biscuits for me. The breakfasts were excellent including daily specials. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bus stop is right outside and the bus goes straight into Edinburgh central but just take care to find the right bus coming back!! Brae Lodge is a great place to stay as a base to see all the sights in and around Edinburgh. We absolutely loved it. Thank you Lesley and Neil for a great time and some brilliant conversations and good laughs. Highly recommend. Elizabeth and Sabrina. 😊👍

A fabulous find!This lovely little guest house was warm and welcoming, spotlessly clean and quiet rooms and Lesley and Neil were the perfect hosts.Lesley's cooking is now legend and the daily breakfast specials and in room shortbreads were a real highlight!The on site parking was safe and easy, and buses for the city centre stop just 50 meters from the doorway and run like clockwork every 10 minutes or so day and night it made access to the city so stressless.Ten out of Ten !!

We absolutely loved our stay at Brae Lodge Guest House! Neil and Lesley were fantastic, friendly hosts. The breakfasts were delicious. Two bus lines are just outside the door #7 and #37 that could take us to and from Old Town. It is also walking distance to some nice pubs. We stayed in several B and B's at our time in Scotland and this was my favorite. The bathroom is a little dated but otherwise the bed, pillows and sheets were all super comfortable and the hosts were delightful!
