We were placed here by the council while we waited for our homelessness case. From the outside the building already looks scary. You can already tell the rooms are dark and mouldy. …

We visited here this weekend, very attentive landlady, great advice and help for getting around Edinburgh without having to move car! Great off road parking so felt safe leaving car! …

Very handy bus services straight to Edinburgh. Room clean, comfortable and quiet. Own key to front door so no curfew. Breakfast a disappointment as very basic with no trimmings at all. Very friendly proprietor who appeared to be doing it all single-handedly.

From the advert and photos on booking.com believed this place to be a reasonable and satisfactory place to stay. At best it's a hostel, at worst a shelter/halfway house. Terrible nights sleep and not very clean. …

Very friendly, great size room fitted a double bed and our travel cot. Shower had a lot of water pressure and very hot. Breakfast was fast and made to order for 🥓 sausage and egg. Very tasty.

Although the reception staff were friendly we wish we had read previous reviews on this place!!! It is more of a life house/hostel than a hotel and at £60 a night for room only definately not a buget price. …

Friendly atmosphere, clean rooms, breakfast was delicious. Just remember it's Almond House not Almond Lodge. Central to airport, the Highland center, easy reach for all types of evening meals not far away. Highly recommend. Love the elephant curtains xx

The hotel is sadly in need of some serious cleaning. The inside of the shower glass had thick mould on it.There was no where to hang towels or even the toilet roll in the bathroom. The beds were uncomfortable. …

The furnishings are tired as are the guests from lack of sleep owing to the sprung doors which bang closed and very thin walls. Communication with the staff was difficult as their English was poor to the extent that yhey didn't understand our room number! Wifi only operating in communal area. The view of the Firth of Forth was lovely.
