Great place to stay! House has two new wings with brand new, clean rooms with incredibly nice showers. 20 min drive from city center. Lots of parking across the street. On bus routes too. Some confusion when we checked in but the guys took care of it. There is construction on site, but it wasn't a big deal to us.

A newly refurbished room. Clean and comfortable. The radiator was on when I arrived and the room was very cosy. The proprietor met me at 8.30 pm as arranged. …

ABSOLUTELY FINE. PLEASANTLY SURPRISED.We booked this one because it was the cheapest we could get at the time. I thought we might be punished for choosing the cheapest, expecting to find it tatty and run-down, but quite the opposite! The whole place looked new! It all looked brand new and freshly renovated! (October 2024).Friendly greeting from the owner. Informed us he's giving us a bigger room than we'd booked. Parking at the property, free parking nearby if it's full. Tea and biscuits available in the communal area. Everything was absolutely fine!In case the staff are reading this review, I just wanted to make you aware of some maintenance issues in room 15:* The shower drips constantly. It looks brand new so I don't think it's worn out or wear and tear. The design of the tap is such that you turn it one way for the upper shower and the other way for the lower shower so you can't ever turn it off tightly so it always drips: Even if you get it right in the middle, it keeps dripping. You can hear the "drip, drip, drip at night" and of course this will eventually mean a build-up of staining or limescale, which would be a pity on that lovely brand new-looking shower enclosure.* The drain plug in the shower is very slow-running, the shower basin quickly fills up. I pulled the silver thing out of the plug and it had a lot of hair attached, but the water still ran away very slowly, so it probably needs some sink unblocker down it.* Attention to detail on the part of your cleaners: We found rubbish in the drawers of both bedside tables!Overall it was great, thanks again.

We stayed here for a few days. Our room was clean. Breakfast was provided. It is like 30 minutes from the city centre, which is great. It is a quiet area. The owner has always been friendly and helpful. If you need him, he will come quickly because he lives nearby.

There was no electricity in the bathroom and the owner felt that by telling us that upon check in that was sufficient. …

When I first come to this place, I was surprised by how pretty it looked. Well, the main entrance, not the one that I would have to use for the rest of the trip (really weird side entrance under construction). The owner was really nice and helpful. The room... Well, let's say it was not too spacious, but it was nice and clean. I was a bit put off by the smell. Everything looked nice and new, yet there was this weird, old stench.Beddings were clean, but I personally hate double bed blanket. I would prefer two smaller blankets. Also the walls are extremely thin - you can hear everything your neighbours do.Highlight for me was the bluetooth mirror. Who doesn't want to take shower while listening to your favorite music? Also good thing - right next to guest house, there is a bus station that will get you to city centre. Some word of advice - please clean the bin in the "kitchen area". We were welcomed by the smell of rotting food. Not nice. Also it would be nice to have real kitchen area available - with utensils and plates.

The ratio between the cost and the benefits is unfair. I paid 240 £ for one single room, 4 beds, overall maybe 10 sqm; a reasonable price could have been less than one half. …

The room was lovely and very spacious. The owner was friendly and accommodating. The neighborhood was quiet. The only complaint I have is that the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, but I've honestly never experienced a nice mattress at a hotel anyway. If you don't mind the 20 to 30 minute commute to the city center, I'd definitely recommend staying here. Overall it was a rather pleasant place to stay.

Other than location, we did not enjoy our stay here one bit. There is no staff on site, so when we arrived to check in, we had to call to have someone drive over and let us into our room. Upon check-in, we were then told we were being given a room that wasn't the one we were originally booked for, and also had no electricity in the bathroom, but they "put a light on the counter." When we asked about what was going on and when it would be fixed, they said they had no planned work or estimate on the issue being handled. The owner told us multiple reasons we were getting a room without electricity in the bathroom, which included that they "didn't think they would be this booked" and that they had been having issues for a while but "thought it would be sorted" by the time we checked in. The owner knew he would be giving us a room with no working electricity in half of it but elected to not tell us before our arrival, taking away any chance we had to look for better accommodation. Along with having no working lights in the bathroom our entire stay, the accommodations themselves were also horrible. The mattress felt as if we were just sleeping on the floor, and their complimentary toiletries included two, half used travel sized bottles of shampoo that seemed as though they were left by a previous guest. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
