I travel a-lot for work around the world and have stayed in literally hundreds of hotels so trust me when I say I enjoyed this stay.Spent 3 days having never been to Edinburgh before. The staff , from reception all the wait to the restaurant were all friendly and pleasant. I even bumped into one if the cleaning staff and she was very chatty and friendly. The room was comfortable with a touch of old world charm but modern facilities. The location was superb . Easy walk to town. The price extremely reasonable.Oh we had dinner once, very nice roast dinner and breakfast was excellent.

Fabulous location and facility. Staff were professional and helpful. Very comfortable room and common areas like the lounge. Breakfast was a great way to start your day with a nice selection at the cold buffet. Loved the grand staircase which eliminated the need to take the lift.

I recently visited the Royal Scott’s Club in Edinburgh and had a wonderful experience overall. The environment was lovely, and the meal was beautiful. However, I encountered an unfortunate issue at the front reception. While using my international card, the payment went through but showed as pending on their system. The staff member I interacted with was quite rude, assuming we weren't making the payment. I tried to explain that pending transactions take time to reflect, but the conversation didn’t go well. I hope the club addresses this to enhance the experience for future guests. Despite this, I enjoyed my visit and would recommend the club for its ambiance and food.

A lovely hotel in a great location- 10 minute walk to the Royal Mile and quiet. Our room was in the Annex and was just right in size for us as we don't hang out in our room. There was a little terrace in a common area outside which would have been great if it didn't rain so darn much!

The club is just top drawer in everyway. Spacious clean rooms, great choice of breakfast, good choice of whiskies in the bar to round off your evening. Excellent location. The club is a must stay in choice in Edinburgh for anyone who is military or ex military.

This hotel lived up to its name, with it's rich history and tradition. I enjoyed my stay here. wonderful staff, great location. The lobby was like a museum with its rich culture at display and strong army officers club- vibes. I will definitely be back here, when in Edinburgh.

We stayed in room number 341. It is the street facing room in the annex. The bathroom was good sized, although by no means luxurious. The room was cramped. For some reason it had to side chairs. The important feature of those is that neither my husband, nor I could fit our hips in those. And we are not happy people. The room would be better without them. There is a luggage rack, and the closet is roomy. 40-inch (max?) TV mounted above the desk far from the bed. Windows open, which is necessary for cooling, but there is so much street noise even late at night. We chose to stay here because of the location and that was the defining feature of the place. Even the cab driver told us we were in a good location! Walk to touristy stuff but also close to the areas where people live and enjoy the city. Breakfast was unimpressive; we skipped it the second and third days. It feels good to support the veterans association, which is what this house is for, so were we to return I would probably stay again, but expect nothing of the breakfast and try to stay in the main house.

The Royal Scots Club is very beautiful. The staff is exceptional. The breakfast was delicious with a vegetarian option. The location was great, away from the noise of the tourist areas but close enough to walk just about everywhere. Would highly recommend.

Spent the last night of our Scotland vacation in the club. Very charming location, excellent service. The bed was a bit small but the bathroom was large and had a tub. The restaurant is not expensive at all and also breakfast was excellent. You can walk in a few minutes to the city center.
