Was only here for a night so perhaps my take may be a bit slanted. We stayed here for its close proximity to the airport, we were flying out early the next morning. The rooms are pretty standard, nothing special for being a resort style property. The beds were also pretty uncomfortable for my wife and I. We did eat at the Brasserie restaurant and the food was decent but not great by any stretch, reminded me of a more golf clubhouse style restaurant that you’d maybe get food after a round of golf. To be fair, we didn’t have time to try the other, fancier restaurant on property so maybe that one would have been better for what we were looking for. Nothing really around the hotel at all, if you don’t have a car, you’re going to be fairly well stranded. The pool/spa area was actually very nice, pretty large and easily walkable from the rooms. Gym had a good volume of newer equipment so another plus for this hotel. The 3 stars I gave was primarily due to a less than impressive room and the isolation of the resort from anything nearby. It’s a good 10-15 min drive any direction to get to anything especially if you’re planning to be here for more than a few nights. If you’re planning a golf trip, I imagine this place is a bit more your speed for what it is, as for staying here again to just be near the airport or staying close to Edinburgh, I’d likely search for another hotel.

This place was incredible. Yes it is outside of city center but I didn't care. The staff was AMAZING. The food was great and I loved our room. I am coming back when I travel to Edinburgh. Thank you to everyone who made my stay so memorable.

I have to brag about the service here. I took my mom here from the USA in Feb of 2024, and while it was cold in Scotland, we were HOT. And as everyone knows, there's no AC in the UK. They provided a desktop fan for us in order to help us cool down. That and by turning the heater down as far as it could go and opening the windows in the room, our room stayed a nice 68F.Next let's talk about about the food. they went out of their way to make sure we were able to eat as we didn't get there until late. We were tired, hungry, and just wanted to sleep. They made sure that room service got to us quickly and the food was topnotch.Lastly, as we were, CLEARLY, American and had no idea how to get to anywhere, they made us little maps to follow and the gentleman who was working the front desk, explained everything in detail so we wouldn't get lost.Recommend this hotel fully and we are already planning to go back.

Will highly recommend Dalmahoy even if you’re not golfing. The leisure centre is packed with activities and had fantastic instructors. Housekeeping is fantastic. Golf course is fab as advertised for amateurs and professionals alike. |Staff were ever so helpful. Rooms are just as expected. A very Scottish welcome.

Can't beat this well-maintained classic castle-looking hotel/club. Just minutes from the airport but you're actually at a golf course with beautiful lawns, a walking trail, a pond, etc. Quiet, clean, with friendly staff everywhere. We really enjoyed this as our last stay before leaving Scotland. Restaurant experience/food was excellent too.

I stayed there last weekend as part of an extended family 80th birthday party - we were 16 altogether! The actual birthday lunch was on Saturday, but most of us stayed the night beforehand as well. …

Simply perfect. The hotel, the people, the area, the food and service. Absolutely recommended for everyone who values a great place to stay. A great addition is the sauna and the hot steam bath. Perfect after a long day to chill out and relax. All points absolutely deserved and we will be back 😀

A beautiful hotel and grounds but terribly short staffed and staff that are on duty all look like they have somewhere better to be. |Staff were not helpful in any area or with directions ect. …
