We had the best time here! We travelled with our little one (Aged 5) and they put an extra bed in our room for her. Our room was super clean, and the bed was ridiculously comfortable. I like the new scheme to opt in / out of housekeeping which makes complete eco-sense. Breakfast was great quality, as are drinks in the bar. Location was wonderful for everything we needed in town, direct tram to the airport and West end from St Andrews square. Restaurants within walking distance.Lastly the staff were wonderful, especially Gordon and Alex on reception who made our daughters day greeting her by name every time she came past. The little touches made a big difference, I wish we could have stayed longer and I'd recommend you for families or couples looking for something special.

Me and my husband went for our ten year wedding anniversary and couldn’t fault the hotel and the staff. The breakfasts were delightful, it was a great location and the team on reception were always very welcoming and made us feel special. We will definitely rebook when we’re next in Edinburgh

Lovely place with very helpful, friendly staff and a great restaurant. Rooms are well equipped and a decent size, but lose a star because the lighting is overly stylish and does not provide adequate actual lighting. Plus I personally do not like the black and somewhat grotesque wallpaper, but that's obviously a matter of taste.But overall it's a good choice for central Edinburgh.

We spent two nights in Malmaison. We slept really really well, the bed was just great! The room and the whole hotel atmosphere is quite special, but we loved it! The staff is great, the food is very good, and you really feel home! Everyone at Malmaison wants to make your experience unique, they really take care of every client, and that is something we can't forget.I hope we can come back to this place one day, and I'm already looking forward to stay in an other Malmaison to live the same but different experience!Thank you again to the whole team for making our stay so special! Special thanks to Dara and her crew!(And to the young lady in the restaurant for the good laughs we've had together!)

This is a great hotel in an excellent location. Myself and my daughter stayed for a short stay city break. 5 minute walk from Waverley and central for shopping too. Food was tremendous and the staff were super friendly and professional. Room was spotless too with a fantastic view of Edinburgh.||Will certainly be back.

From the moment our large party arrived for dinner, we were made to feel extremely welcome. All the staff were exceptional and we were very impressed by the adaptations made for wheelchair users. |The food was delicious, and house wine was super. |Thank you for having us.

I stayed here with my husband and then 10 month old for 5 nights in August, and even though travelling with a baby was an absolute hell trip, the staff at the Malmaison in Edinburgh City were absolutely amazing.They did not hesitate to accommodate our extensive needs during the trip, and were more than patient and understanding when our kid had a meltdown in the lobby and dining area numerous times.The room was spacious and clean, and I wouldnt hesitate to return or recommend this hotel to others.
