Excellent food but the restaurant is a bar room with bar room ambience and big screen tv. Tables were just over 12 inches apart so no privacy at all. Mussels were good but no bread to soak up the white wine sauce. …

Since the re-opening I have been for dinner twice, lunch once and drinks in the garden area twice!|The refurbishment is a huge improvement - modern contemporary feel. Very welcoming entrance area. …

Stayed for one night in this beautiful hotel. A huge amount has been spent refurbishing this lovely listed building. Had only been open a few weeks when we arrived, so still getting over a few minor teething problems. …

Visited for lunch with two friends. Food was very good - though it might be worth considering smaller portions for pensioners like us. 🤓 Service was top notch and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Clearly very well trained in hospitality. The property has been tastefully updated and is a huge improvement on the previous dark and dingy layout. All in all, we'd definitely recommend.

We only went in for a breakfast roll and coffee. Staff were very welcoming, place looks great. When the sausage and bacon rolls arrived we noticed they were on what appeared to be brioche buns which were bone dry and didn't taste nice at all. We ended up just eating the contents and leaving 3/4 of the bun. Having owned a cafe I did let them know a morning roll would have been better.

I arrived without a reservation and only intended to have drinks. |It was very impressive with the opening up of the old reception area . There was no one at the desk and walked through to the bar restaurant area. …

Well worth driving your Chevy to The Leddie as this guest house punches well above its weight just East of Edinburgh. |2 delightful young ladies were somehow still awake after chatting for an hour with my mate Tony and greeted me …

Went for lunch today with two elderly relatives. There was no mention of the portion size by staff and the croque monsieur was so stodgy and greasy none of us finished. The leddie is lovely and the refurbishment also but seriously lacking in informative staff and consideration for your local area clientele, a lot of which are pensioners. So many places these days are considerate of half portion sizes for smaller appetites. A kids menu is not an alternative for an this. The menu looked great but unfortunately didn't live up to it.

this hotel has been upgraded very well. Comfortable and stylish interiors without being over the top and too ‘boutique’ Dropped in for lunch- nice and informal with friendly helpful staff. Sandwich lunch ( Brie and onion chutney toastie was very good) and nice to have proper |Bread ! Only thing we didn’t like were the chips
