Don’t let the bad reviews scare you! This was clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy to find and close to the main attractions. It is self catering, which is common in Scotland. …

As many of the other reviews mentioned. The lack of a reception is one of the biggest flaws of this “hotel”. There was no staff on site nor did the help phone work. I did not receive any details via email. Literally stuck outside until another guest came to aid. No way too communicate with hotel host whatsoever is the worse.Rooms itself are not that great either. It’s borderline on the same level of a motel. The worse part about it all is that we paid over $200+ per night for a single room with 2 beds. With that kind of money, you can easily stay at a 4 star hotel.Really the only positive about this place is the location which is somewhat close to downtown? 20min walk. 10min by bus.Don’t stay here unless it was free.

This is more a hostel than a hotel. There is no staff, you get code to get in. Thin walls, you hear everything from the aisles and other rooms. The building is beautiful but rooms need touch up. …

- The room was dirty and specially the carpet was filthy, looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months! When we asked the property manager for better cleaning service, they said we would need to pay for midday cleaning unless it wasn't cleaned when we arrived. We obviously said it wasn't clean when we arrived and they still did nothing about it. Furniture surfaces were dirty and they didn't even bother to change the used mugs.- The shower was a struggle. We had no hot water during our first night, which we reported to them. They said they would fix it. We had some hot water after this but then it went back to cold again.- The accommodation is listed as a hotel, however it had no reception at all. The front doors were also wide opened which makes you question the security of this place, as anyone can get in.- Breakfast was another disappointment.- Rooms are also not great, furniture is very old. For the price they charge you per night they could do some renovations.

We booked our room at No6 months in advance as it was the cheapest hotel room we could find and then panicked slightly when we looked at the reviews in the lead up to our stay. …

It wasn't the best experience. No response when asked if it was possible to drop off our luggage. Before arrival you receive an email with instructions how to unlock the front door ( electronic lock with code ), when inside ,there is a keysafe ( you need another code to unlock the key safe the get your room key )We went to the second floor to get to the room. The room looked just OK, a bit tired looking. The bed was very very uncomfortable, the blind wasn't working properly ( damaged) a buzzing noise from the shower area which couldn't identify what it was. It wasn't the fan. All Been reported on the next day. Answer: we are sorry for your inconvenience........For this we paid £ 313 for two nights. you can guess , we won't recommend this place and won't return

Our family enjoyed our stay at this bed and breakfast accommodation, NOT a boutique hotel.KEY COLLECTIONThe front door of the hotel may be closed on arrival you can use a pin number to gain acccess.Your key is located in the Keycafe terminal in the building. Press the screen and select Pick Up Key - enter the PIN, the box will open and your key is inside.CHECK-OUTPlease return the key to the Keycafe box. Touch the screen, select "Drop off key" or "Key Drop-off" and put in the same Pincode you used during check-in. A small box will be open where you can return the room key.BreakfastFree grab and go breakfast is available daily between 8 and 10 in the hotel. You can help yourself to hot drinks, juices, pre-packed pastries and cereals. The member of staff was an absolute gem, gave us extra clothes hangers, explained the house rules with a smile (eg they don't make your beds in the morning but will change your towels if you leave them in the tub).I just want to point out that I expected a hotel and this is not one.Position is a 30 minutes' walk to city centre, a 10 minutes' bus ride, very close to Haymarket railway station and conveniently on the airlink route to and from the airport Far from the festival's madding crowd.Altogether a good stay but not a hotel. Thanks.

Terrible service. On the day of arrival, we asked for the code to get in. The person running the business insisted that he had sent it to us and that we needed to check again. We reached out 4 different times before they relented and finally gave us the code. Fun fact! They did send the code after all; two days AFTER our stay .We enter the room and the first thought is that this place is NOT clean. Pro tip hotel owners; don't leave the previous guests booking information sitting around in plain view for your new guests to see, it makes it REALLY obvious you didn't do that great of a job!The air was also stagnant, and it was quickly evident that there was no air flow. Listen, I'm not needy, I'll just open a window so that the place doesn't smell like mothballs. Exceeeeept, while you can open the heavy massive window, there's nothing to hold the window open. Thank you West Coates 6 for the sarcophagus.Of course, for our dessert course of this review, I gotta talk about the hot water. We very quickly realized that all the water was ice cold. So we asked the very easy question of - hey is there hot water? The person managing the building told us we needed to find a red switch or a string hanging from the ceiling. Apparently this hotel is an escape room now and you need to solve puzzles to get really basic stuff. So after some searching we realized that we had neither of those things in our room before the manager finally admitted that the hot water comes on when the heating turns on. Which would be fine if it wasn't summer weather. So, all in all, terrible communication, no basic amenities, not a great stay.
