Location is excellent. away from the city centre to be reasonably priced but next to park and ride and the train station for a 7 minute journey into the city centre.if you are a light sleeper make sure you have a front facing room as the back ones have train lines running by and the trains are very noisy !!!The kitchen was closed due to oven problems but the pub, Cuddie Brae next door offered breakfast and evening meals and was excellent. The reception staff were very friendly. Our bathroom needed some attention... all around the skirting boards but the sanitary ware and tiles were clean and well looked after.

We’ve been staying at this hotel for the best part of 10 years, and it’s always been a lovely place to stay with close transport links into Edinburgh. …

Three ladies hosting the breakfast were fantastic. Very polite and a fabulous service. The train station is across the road and only 10 mins into Edinburgh. Great location.

Pretty shabby hotel, our room was not clean, had spiderwebs and dead insects on the walls, and the carpet was dirty. The beds were comfy, had a good night sleep. The bathroom was decent in size, had good water pressure, but also in desperate need of a refurbishment. Breakfast was the same everyday, but good overall. 900 quid for 5 nights isn't exactly cheap but let's say that's the Fringe price. The staff - one of the coldest and unwelcoming we experienced, and we've been all over Europe. One night, we returned to the hotel and entered the alley in front of the reception with another guests from other rooms (by coincidence) that we didn't know. In the reception, behind the desk, there were a couple of people(a lady and a man) that effectively run away when they saw us 😂😂😂 Unbelieving. In the morning, when heading to breakfast, we said hello to the person on the reception and they didn't respond.Stayed also in a Premier Inn in London that was miles ahead of this one.

Me and my friend stayed here for two nights. In terms of location, this hotel was great because it was only a short walk to the train station. The staff was also friendly upon arrival. …

Paid £103 per night not including breakfast which I thought was enough for the poor room. The bathroom floor was spongy brown flooring we thought we were going to fall it at the sink. There were no cushions or a runner on the bed.  …

The Premier Inn at Newcraighall is always my go-to spot for bringing people to Edinburgh. The bus stop is a 2-minute walk away, then it's a £2, 25 minute ride to the city center. Very convenient. Its' clean and comfortable, and there is a Cuddie Brae restaurant next to it.

The room was not very clean, hairs in the bathroom everywhere. Don’t dare to check other places, afraid to find something gross. The room is also not like shown on the picture, much smaller so it was hard to move around if you have a few large luggage. For the price and what you get, I would not come back again. All the service and request require one to walk down to the front desk and ask. But the workers are nice and friendly, that is the only positive thing about the hotel. The breakfast is all you can eat…only for some items there are limits. If it’s finished, there’s none/more more refill.
