A wonderful independent hotel in a great location, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The lovely Anna has been working here for years and speaks so highly of the owners. As an employer myself that says a lot! She's an absolute diamond. Very highly recommended.

This is a really nice hotel. Very friendly team who made us feel welcome. The room was an excellent size and well equipped. We were there on a Saturday night and it had a lively atmosphere. Fortunately, it went quiet at about 10.30 so we got a good sleep. Dinner and breakfast were excellent.

My family had lunch here and it was wonderful. The meals were amazing, the waitresses were incredibly nice (she even offered to take a meal off our check when she saw my mom wasn’t enjoying hers), and it’s just beautiful in here. The bathrooms and dining area was so nice! As for the rooms, my mom stayed here a few years back and really loved hers. They brought meals on a tray up to her room!

The meals are very poor, and very expensive for what you get, this is our second time this year we have visited for a meal with friends. The young staff can't cope and need to be trained up in every aspect. Sad to see a good hotel go DOWN so badly. One star is all I can give,
