We had a family holiday in Falkirk, 6 adults & 2 children & we went to the hotel restaurant for a family meal, we all had different dishes & we all enjoyed our meals very much & they were reasonably priced too.The staff were all very polite & helpful, nothing was too much trouble & we got treated with respect at all times.Id highly recommend the restaurant, it was jolly good value for money.

It took 45 minutes for our order to be taken and we had to ask the waitress.( who actually made it look like we were bothering her). Bearing in mind we’d 3 people who couldn’t make it and had paid £10. Weren’t told when booking they’d keep it if they didn’t turn up. A few members of staff were actually caught talking about our party of 11 at the bar. Food was ok. Service not so good. Professionalism zero as you don’t badmouth customers in earshot of them.

Had lunch midweek. Food was reasonable, I had fish and chips, which was ok. Portions adequate, prices average. Nothing to get excited about. Waitress was a bit surly and uncommunicative, maybe she was having a bad day. I won't be rushing back though.

I must say it's a nice atmosphere in there. I've started having lunches there now as the food is simple...but well made and nice. I can't comment on hotel facilities as I live in Falkirk and just enjoy the pub, it's friendly staff and it's nice atmosphere.

Went for late lunch and booked for 14 people and paid £140 deposit.11 came and were tol we would lose the £30 as they never came.we asked manager if we could use this for drinks or xtra food but was completly shut down saying no.she was extremly rude and staff were overheard talking about our table at the bar.dont see why she couldnt accomadate our request as we could have easily just took 3 strangers from bar and added them to our party.not to mention the 35 min wait for taking our order.we had to ask to be served.we are so angry about the £30.food was average and service was poor.also when we ordered drinks were told we had to go to bar ourselfs to pick them up.no table service.wont be back.the manager needs work on her customer service

Very good pub grub at great prices with smashing service. However we were a bit disappointed that they only serve a very restricted menu in their very attractive, peaceful and spacious beer garden.

We've been really lucky to be able to book a table for 10 plus people at relatively peak times, last minute (usually) - and they always accommodated us. The staff are great the drink is well priced and so are the meals - loses stars for me though as there's only one Vegan option and I've had it three visits in a row. It's a spicy burger with just normal fries (never with Sweet Potato fries as listed) it's fine, the menu really could do with maybe a Vegan starter option or maybe even a dessert.
